In Kamjong, a villager lost his life, homes were burnt, and several men were wounded. Along Highway 202, a Nepali couple came under fire. In Imphal, an IED blast wounded three CRPF personnel. In Thoubal, a midnight clash took another innocent life. And at Nongsum, firewood collectors were ambushed—leaving three dead and a community in deep grief.

My heart goes out to every grieving family—Meitei, Kuki, Naga, Pangal, and Nepali alike.

The Assam Rifles are in Manipur for one single duty: to protect every Indian, regardless of tribe, community, or religion. Unverified allegations only serve the insurgents who pulled the triggers in the first place.
Let the official investigations do their work and establish the truth. Until then, do not let political convenience turn our protectors into targets.

🚨 Man saw the X-ray flash and ran. CISF caught him before he reached the exit.

At Jama Masjid Metro Station, a passenger’s bag showed a suspicious dense object during screening. He tried to flee, but alert CISF personnel chased him down. They then found an unidentified substance hidden in a stitched portion of his clothing. He is now with the police.

This is the fantastic story of a Hackney surgeon who could not breathe, and the Indian root that gave him relief.

In 1802, an Indian asthma remedy reached a London doctor. It looked like coarse hemp.

It was dried thorn-apple root (Datura), brought from Madras by Major-General William Gent.

Dr James Anderson, the physician-general there, had told him about its use for asthma.

In London, Dr Sims tried it on patients. One was Mr Toulmin, a surgeon in Hackney who had suffered attacks for years. He found enough relief that Sims gave him all the remedy he had left.

Then the Indian supply ran out....

Toulmin switched to the common thorn-apple growing in Britain, Datura stramonium. He reported nearly the same relief.

There was chemistry behind this. Datura contains tropane alkaloids, including hyoscyamine and atropine. They block signals that tighten the muscles around the airways, helping them relax.

Relief, not a cure....

Smoking stramonium became a widely used asthma treatment in Western medicine. By the late 1800s, companies were selling it in asthma powders and cigarettes.
