The debate around Newslaundry ethics is a reminder to all of us to remain humble. The problem begins precisely when you think you’re so much better than others that you can start being preacher & pulpit, doing long pieces on other newsrooms, based on exactly the sort of testimonies ( often unnamed) that are now challenging you. Anyone with a god complex will invariably be cut to size. This has literally nothing to do with media wars, or BJP vs Opposition. It’s the oldest proverb we learnt in nursery - those who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others. Yes, we are all imperfect, flawed, works in progress, making mistakes and trying to find our way through a changing world. Remaining grounded in that humility will go a long way. Nobody likes arrogance or humbug. Just my two bits. Sabki Dhulai se pehle apni bhi dhulai. Or recognise your obvious conflict of interest and likely doublespeak in commenting on others
