मुख्यबिंदु:

बिहार में 26 तक, असम और मेघालय में 27 तक, उत्तर प्रदेश में 29 तक, हरियाणा और चंडीगढ़ और पंजाब में 30 तक रात/सुबह के घंटों में घना से बहुत घना कोहरा छाए रहने की बहुत संभावना है; इसके साथ ही जम्मू-कश्मीर, पूर्वी अरुणाचल प्रदेश में 28 तक, हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, ओडिशा, नागालैंड, मणिपुर, मिजोरम और त्रिपुरा, असम और मेघालय में 30 तक, पूर्वी मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़, उप-हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल में 27 दिसंबर तक रात/सुबह के घंटों में कुछ जगहों पर घना कोहरा छाए रहने की बहुत संभावना है।

बिहार, उप-हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल और सिक्किम में 25-28 के दौरान, उत्तराखंड के कुछ इलाकों में 25-27 दिसंबर के दौरान कुछ जगहों पर शीत दिवस से लेकर भीषण शीत दिवस की स्थिति रहने की बहुत संभावना है । पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश के कुछ इलाकों में 25 और 26 दिसंबर को शीत दिवस की स्थिति रहने की बहुत संभावना है।

झारखंड के कुछ हिस्सों में 26-27, पश्चिमी राजस्थान, उत्तरी छत्तीसगढ़ में 26-28 के दौरान, पंजाब, हरियाणा और चंडीगढ़ में 26-30 दिसंबर के दौरान शीत लहर की स्थिति रहने की संभावना है।

Cold day to severe cold day conditions very likely at a few places over Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during 25th-28th; isolated pockets of Uttarakhand during 25th -27th December. Cold day conditions very likely at isolated pockets over East Uttar Pradesh on 25th& 26th December.

Cold wave conditions likely over parts of Jharkhand on 26th & 27th, West Rajasthan, north Chhattisgarh during 26th-28th, Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh during 26th-30th December.

Forecast of minimum temperatures:

❖ Gradual fall in minimum temperature by 2-3°C very likely over Assam for next 2 days and no significant change thereafter for subsequent 5 days.

❖ Gradual fall in minimum temperature by 1-2°C very likely over Chhattisgarh for next 3 days and no significant change thereafter for subsequent 4 days.

❖ No significant change in minimum temperature over remaining parts of the country during next 7days.

Dense Fog & Cold wave Warnings:

❖ Dense to very dense fog conditions during night/morning hours very likely in isolated pockets of Bihar till 26th, Assam & Meghalaya till 27th with Dense fog conditions during night/morning hours very likely in isolated pockets over Jammu-Kashmir, East Arunachal Pradesh till 28th, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Assam & Meghalaya till 30th, East Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim till 27th , Bihar till 31st December.

❖ Dense to very dense fog conditions very likely to prevail in night/morning hours in few parts of Punjab Haryana-Chandigarh till 30th December and Dense fog in isolated pockets for subsequent 2 days.

❖ Dense to very dense fog conditions very likely to prevail in night/morning hours in some/many parts of West Uttar Pradesh till 29th December and Dense fog in isolated pockets for subsequent 3 days.

❖ Cold wave conditions very likely in isolated pockets of Jharkhand on 26th & 27th, West Rajasthan, north Chhattisgarh during 26th-28th, Punjab, Haryana Chandigarh during 26th-30th December.
