Most founders hire for growth too early.
They raise a round. The board wants traction. So they throw budget at ads, hire an agency, maybe bring on a head of marketing.
6 months later the CAC is ugly, the funnel is patched together, and nobody can explain why conversions dropped.
The problem was never the spend. It was what they were scaling.
I come in before that happens. Before the agency. Before the campaigns. I look at your GTM and find the thing that's quietly eating your budget.
Then we fix it. Then we scale.
I've taken a podcast from 100 downloads/yr to 64,000+. Filled 32/35 seats at a UK dentistry event with zero ad spend. Built a $90K revenue engine for an edtech company running international webinars across the US, UK, and Europe.
I work with funded founders who already know they need a growth person but want someone who finds the real problem first.
DM me.
I started my podcast but paused it due to low bandwidth!
Also Iโm Building community https://t.co/mv6EHJUMDg but again low bandwidth!
Now Iโm gonna try @boardyai pro to help me in inviting guests and help me prepare questions too!
My tech stack is @RiversidedotFM , @claudeai + @NotionHQ and @Skool_biz
And yes my @Apple ecosystem so yaaโฆ
Rest things are gonna be unfiltered just like me โค๏ธโ๐ฅ
@markpekel All goood here too buddy!
X was shadow banned so I started working on acquiring more consulting clients ๐
And yeah did couple of buildthons too
@JacobCEdmunds Ummmm not 100% truth
Sometimes ppl underestimate themselves and they think itโs already a lot of content out there and no oneโs gonna listen to them!
Most marketing portfolios are just screenshots of someone else's ad manager.
"Scaled spend to $50K/month."
Cool.
Was it profitable?
Did the client stay?
Do you even know their margins?
Nobody puts "client churned in 3 months" on a case study.
Nobody writes "the funnel I built broke the moment I left."
The whole portfolio game is designed to impress people who don't know what to check.
Here's what actually matters: did the system survive without you?
If it didn't, you weren't building.
You were babysitting.
@markpekel Yeah the dangerous part is that loud customers sound like conviction.
they show up to calls, they write long emails, they look like your most engaged users,
so you build for them
meanwhile the quiet majority just leaves and you never hear why.
Yes so my way was very strategic!
Hereโs my breakdown!
Step 1-
First I created my job hunting GTM
For me my icp was saas n Ai startups having 1 million ARR or funded!
I started searching these startups in my interest!
So Iโm already into productivity, systems, growth marketing and Content creation!
I followed and searched lots of companies on Insta, LinkedIn and product hunt.
Step 2-
I started stalking their founders and team activity across Platform to audit the work culture and Founder behaviour.
Based on that I use to draft the cold mail and after sending the cold mail I use to record a Reachout video for LinkedIn!
And believe me guys this really works!
U just have to appreciate them genuinely and tell what exactly
โyou bring to the table and what they can achieve if they work with you!โ
Once itโs done then 3step comes
The Acquisition in Job GTM
To make your acquisition smooth
Iโll suggest try to observe the founder as much as you can!
Listen to them
Understand the company goals and how you can contribute as a leader.
Rest is your skills n all!
Now once youโre hired you have to focus on retention and reviews for your promotions and long term work stability!
apparently i was shadow banned for a month.
didn't even notice for the first few days which probably says something about how much engagement i was getting before.
honestly thought my @X journey was done. like maybe the algorithm was trying to tell me something.
so i did what any rational person would do and went and built a whole community instead.
it's called The GTM Club, got 20 founders signed up before i even announced it publicly, and it's going live soon.
anyway the ban is lifting and i'm back to tweeting about funnels to my 11 impressions like nothing happened ๐
@benfchi I agree!
U know what I was struggling in my new campaign strategy for UK market, I provided all the access to fable and all the data sets!
Fable literally made a proper roadmap with all winning copies n all!
I mean it helped me to shape my thoughts and execution too!
been using @stanleyforx for a week now.
the AI drafting is genuinely impressive. drafted and posted a tweet from iMessage in under 60 seconds.
two bugs though:
1. LinkedIn publishing shows "published" on the dashboard but nothing actually goes live
2. X replies to other accounts don't go through either
the core product is solid. these two fixes would make it a no brainer.
