🚨 Perplexity just made every AI company look stupid with one announcement.
They're shipping a Mac mini that never turns off. You plug it in, leave it on, and it works through your files, apps, emails, calendar, 24 hours a day. While you sleep, while you eat, while you're on vacation, it's working.
> A full-time employee with a power cord sitting next to your coffee mug with no salary, no sick days, no meetings about meetings.
> Your company pays you $80K a year to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Perplexity just offered them something that works 24/7 and probably costs less than your monthly health insurance.
But the part that gave me chills is the name. They called it "Personal Computer."
The last time someone used that name was IBM in 1981. That machine killed typewriters, killed secretaries, killed filing clerks, killed an entire generation of office jobs.
They didn't call this an "assistant" or a "copilot." They named it after the thing that already replaced millions of jobs once before.
Same name. Same playbook. Different body count.
And they know exactly what they're doing.

We have come across disturbing reports that Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das, one of the prominent leaders of ISKCON Bangladesh, has been detained by the Dhaka police. We are deeply concerned about the situation and expect the Government of Bangladesh to ensure the safety of Chinmoy Krishna Das, ISKCON devotees and all other persecuted minority communities.
It is outrageous to make baseless allegations that ISKCON has anything to do with terrorism anywhere in the world. ISKCON urges the Government of India to take immediate steps and speak to the Government of Bangladesh and convey that we are a peace-loving Bhakti movement. ISKCON Bangladesh has been engaged in various humanitarian services for beneficiaries, irrespective of religion or any other considerations. ISKCON’s constant efforts to support people through the Food Relief programme during floods in Bangladesh are well known.
Our sympathies are with the dedicated devotees of ISKCON Bangladesh, and we want the Government of Bangladesh to release Chinmoy Krishna Das immediately. Our prayers to Lord Krishna for the protection of these devotees.
