@_Hehehehe_____ The more I read the less I saw reason to condemn Chalcedon/Leo. I read Sts Cyril & Athanasius, then Severus of Antioch - with that I felt confidently OO. Then I read Sts Ambrose, Hilary, John Cassian, Gregory Nazianzus, Theodotus & others, and that confidence gradually broke down

I loved the Coptic Church and am thankful it led me to Christ, and I'm happy to be where I am now in the Orthodox Church, now and forever ☦️
@orthoanbheanin@XaestraFPS Excessive reading. Spent a few years discerning (and at the time desperately trying to stay Coptic). Eventually I came to the conclusion St Leo and the Council of Chalcedon were in line with the preceding Church Fathers and I couldn't justify their condemnation by the OO Church.
Throughout the day, try to remember God more often. If you feel bad, turn to Him: "Lord, I feel bad, help me." If you feel good: "Lord, glory to You, thank You for this joy." If you are worried about someone: "Lord, I am worried about him, help him." Whatever happens, turn it into prayer.
St. Ambrose of Optina
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18
The Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross (Sept 14)
"If you want to bring someone onto the right path, to teach and advise him, then you must humble yourself first and talk to the person with a lot of love. He will accept your advice, for he will feel that it is given with love."
— Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica
