Houston Coach Bill Yeoman invented the Triple Option by mistake.
At practice in 1964, preparing for a vaunted Penn State Defense, Coach Yeoman was trying to run Dive into an 8-Man Box.
They were struggling to move the ball so Yeoman told the Tackle, "you can't block him anyway so just get out of the way!"
The unblocked Defensive Lineman had no idea what to do and ran upfield right out of the play.
Just like that, the Split Back Veer Triple Option was formed and it took the football world by storm.
The fundamental principles Bill Yeoman's Option Offense continue to impact offensive strategy at all levels of football 60 years later.

📌 Mid Trip Per Fits
📌 A back’s seeing blocks
Over the last yr we have seen great results on Game Day due to this drill. Allows everyone to see realistic fits at full speed.
See it live April 29-30 at the National Opt Clinic.
(1995) 17-year-old Kobe just TOYING with the competition at ‘Gym Rats Midnight Madness.’ He dropped 43!
These buckets were just absurd. There was never a doubt.
As great of a coach as he is, I honestly wonder if we’re wasting Nick Saban on football. Guy absolutely kills it when he talks about larger societal issues.
I HATE the term "scout team hero"... Oh you mean the guy trying to win a starting job? Or the guy that's giving your 1s a good look? Youre right, that guy is a scout team hero. He's doing his job giving all he's got. I think good programs love that. Competition breeds success
