If you live in Kenya, the rate of Oesophageal cancer in maize-growing areas is rising every day.

The maize growing area is also known as the "Oesophageal Cancer Corridor."

Go to Kitale, Eldoret and even Bomet and Nyamira.

Almost every family has someone with Oesophageal Cancer.

Nowadays it is even registered in people below the age of 30, and the incidence is rising.

Go to Malawi. It is the same story.

Oesophageal cancer is a menace, and in Kenya, it is the second deadliest cancer, causing 15% of deaths.

The maize meal has been evidently associated with oesophagus cancer, gastritis, and gastric ulcers.

Common reasons are:

— Malnutrition: Modern maize has no nutrients. It is bland and therefore reprograms the squamous cells of the oesophagus and the stomach.

— Pesticides and herbicide residuals that are toxic to the squamous cells.

The information is there, the evidence is there, but most of you are adamant, argumentative and resistant to change with hollow excuses.
