You cannot fault the work Gareth Southgate has put into the job the past 8yrs.

He's taken us from a laughing stock to 2 Euro's Finals, WC Semi & Quarter finals.

Most importantly he's reunited the fans with the national team again.

I wouldn't go as far as to say 'useless' but RVD has a point.

Dec morphed into Hendo and spent majority of the tournament passing sideways or backwards and very rarely broke the lines.

Perhaps too scared to make a mistake 🤷🏻‍♂️

We weren't at it all tournament yet somehow scrapped our way through to the final, for that we have to be thankful and applaud... BUT we were given a football masterclass tonight and Spain fully deserved it.

We were poor all tournament with the exception of the first 35mins of Game 1 and first 45mins of the Semi and we're given a masterclass tonight!

60 million England Managers though will no doubt know better!

That game passed too many players by in my opinion... Kane, Foden, Mainoo all non existent.

Kane not fit or at it the whole tournament but Southgate stuck with him as our record goalscorer and captain. Something he'll no doubt look back and wonder if it was the right thing to do

Can't help but feel both goals were avoidable... we were far too open, particularly for the 2nd goal.

Rio's just made that point on BBC coverage, 3 passes right through the heart of the pitch. Walker far to slow to react and close the cross, likewise Guehi tracking the run.

Spain fully deserved the win, best team throughout the whole tournament.

We can be proud of the fact we made it to the final given how our performances were throughout the early stages.
