Recognition of @forsa_union_ie's role in pioneering the #4DayWeek. The 🇮🇪 government must act on the growing private sector evidence by allowing trials in the pubic sector. Over to you, @jackfchambers#Better4Everyone

The stubbornness of the Irish Government, to consistently double down on bad public policy, is something it should be hugely embarrassed about.

So much talk from the Irish government about the need to get “more apartments built” but no mention of how these apartments should be suitable for tenants to live in comfortably.
Reducing minimum standards is not a good thing.

As @budapestpride marks its 30th birthday, our Embassy is proud to join 32 others in affirming our support for LGBTIQ+ persons in Hungary & in commending Pride as a “symbol of resilience and progress” here. https://t.co/89p19m2I0l
Working from home is an election issue.
But it's so much more important than that.
We need to resist the diktats to return to the office.
Instead, we should gather real evidence to inform policy.
My piece in today's @irishexaminer.

@PaulsKitRails @ThreeCare Thanks Paul! I’ve tried it several times but it seems to not have gone through from the payment page, put in all my details and then just constant loading or gateway timeout.
“Is it not better to take on that responsibility by making sure that the centre holds left, rather than letting it veer off to the right, which is the other option the electorate has delivered in the last few days?” https://t.co/N4VgDID33d
Hard to think of a modern political party, and politicians, with the courage of the Greens.
Not a supporter but they did some of what we must do to avert catastrophe and would have done more if they could knowing they would pay an electoral price.

@pa_jon49406 @greenparty_ie As someone who painstakingly tracked all the environmental commitments in their 2020 Programme for G'ment, I estimated they achieved over 85% of what they promised, which is impreasive with just 12 TDs

40 per cent of the electorate didn’t vote. That’s huge.
At 59 per cent, it’s a historic low for voter turnout in 🇮🇪 .
Notwithstanding the problems with the electoral register, it is one of the lowest in the EU.
It says something about voter apathy and democratic disengagement.
My take on a terrible day for #GreenParty in #GE24: A Fianna Fail TD once told me he "love(d) working with @greenparty_ie because they were like Kamikaze politicians" -i.e. They knew the would not survive next election so they killed themselves to get as much done as possible. 🧵
Great to speak with three incredible activists, who each have such a wealth of experience in championing the rights of LGBTQIA+ people, both in the workplace and in the wider community.
In a panel discussion on the evolving landscape of LGBTQI+ lives Philippa Ryder @DublinPride, David from @QLAIreland, and David @irishcongress talk about the importance of fighting hate speech and recognising the damage it can do #ForsaEquality
A good review of where the parties stand in relation to @forsa_union_ie general election priorities of pay, protection of remote and hybrid work, and the four-day week.
