If I had taylor swift money and wanted to get married in a secure indoor venue in nyc I would rent out the metropolitan museum of art but I guess the difference is I have some level of taste
I think something a lot of women don't talk about is how utterly odd it is when you finally get some time to decompress after birth, usually the first time. I remember my first shower in the comfort of my home, where I knew my baby was safe so I was free to relax, and just absolutely bawling my eyes out, sobbing in the shower because of not just the hormones but in having my body to myself again. The little human I shared it with for so many months was no longer there. It was simultaneously relief and sorrow, I missed my little passenger but I was so happy he was earthside and I was my own again. It's the wildest emotional rollercoaster.
Women are literally finding self healing methods for PCOS on their own. They're trying to treat themselves. No healing methods are offered other than birth control pills. In an era where technology has advanced this much, they can't find a cure for PCOS.
Society celebrates pregnancy, but abandons women postpartum. Once the baby arrives, mothers put themselves last: skipped meals, lost sleep, missed appointments, delayed care. That quiet neglect adds up and shows up years later as cardiometabolic disease and burnout.
I see it every day.
Support her. Believe her. Care for women after the baby is born. Her life depends on it.

A couple with $2.4M came in and said:
"We want to leave money to our kids."
I asked: "Before or after taxes?"
They looked confused.
Here's what I showed them:

Kids inherit traditional IRA
Kids are doctors in 37% federal bracket
Must drain account in 10 years (SECURE Act)
After taxes: $1.5M to kids
Option 2: Parents do Roth conversions now
Parents are retired, in 12-24% bracket
Convert $2.4M over 8 years
Tax paid by parents: ~$400K based on effective rate
Kids inherit: $2.0M tax-free
Kids can defer withdrawals for 10 years—tax-free growth
At 7% return: $3.9M to kids
Same $2.4M starting point.
