Ukraine is a country of peace. And we truly respect the fact that our partners want to help bring this war to an end. We support every such effort. When the Americans asked us to pause strikes on Moscow and St. Petersburg on August 25, 26, and 27, we observed that pause. There were no strikes on Russia, while strikes on Ukraine continued. When another global power asked us to pause strikes in the direction of Vladivostok for a specified period of time, we agreed to ensure that as well. New meetings in Moscow are now being prepared, and we will take that into account.
We always support every step toward peace – every step to prevent Russia from making this war endless. The war needs to end, and leaders are right to tell Putin this. So, for the sake of diplomacy and negotiations, whenever our partners approach us about this, we will ensure that Russian skies are cleared of drones for specified periods of time and along specified routes. Safety will return to Russia’s skies when there is real movement toward peace. For now, the skies over Russia are for drones – not for civilian aviation.
⚡️⚡️⚡️ ✈️ Zelensky:
Today we want to warn every airline that uses Russian airspace, every insurer, everyone who still uses key Russian airports: Russian skies are becoming completely dangerous.
Ukraine does not threaten civil aviation as such - not a single civilian aircraft. It is just that drones in Russian skies will be so that we need to pay attention to this. Although the Russian authorities do not report this as they should, the Russian skies will de facto be closed: the war unleashed by Russia is closing its skies.
We in Ukraine do not want the loss of innocent lives. Therefore, we are warning our partners: safe moments in Russian skies are over. It is important that the ambassadors of the states working here in Ukraine and the ambassadors working in Moscow hear this.
Each of them knows exactly what the Russian war means for our country, for our people, and must convey this information to their capitals. It is important that the relevant airlines, which currently fly to airports primarily in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other key Russian destinations, hear this.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and our relevant institutions will provide full information to international structures regarding the dangers in Russian skies. Civil aviation has no place among drones.

Trump is very clearly stating that if the press publishes the truth instead of his propaganda, he’ll put the weight of the federal government behind punishing them.
In case you’re confused, crushing dissent and punishing the press is what authoritarians do.
HE POSTED 43 TIMES IN ONE SITTING AND ONE OF THEM WAS HIM IN AN ELVIS JUMPSUIT
This is not a joke. This is documented. Donald Trump sat down and fired off 43 posts in a single spree, and somewhere in that pile is an AI image of himself dressed as Elvis Presley
Forty three posts. Not one about the price of eggs. Not one about the border he screams about on every stage. Not one about the wars he swore he'd end in 24 hours
Just Trump, alone, feeding his own ego machine at a volume that would get anyone else committed
And then, because a 43-post fever dream wasn't enough main character energy for one week, Trump personally ranked America's presidents and put himself at number one
Above Lincoln. Above Washington. Above every man who actually held this country together instead of live-posting Elvis cosplay from the Oval Office
He crowned himself "The Greatest" with his own hands because nobody else was going to do it for him
This is a 79 year old man commanding the most powerful office on earth, and this is how he's spending his bandwidth
Meanwhile the actual job sits there. Agencies gutted. Immigration raids running nonstop. A government he's supposed to be steering while he's busy designing his own historical trophy case
This isn't a distraction from the presidency. This IS the presidency now. Vanity as governance. Delusion as policy
Every single person around him watched this happen and nobody said a word. Not one aide. Not one cabinet member. Because saying no to Trump gets you fired, and staying silent gets you paid
The most powerful man in the world spent his week cosplaying as Elvis and crowning himself king of American history
And he's got three more years to go

Hegseth: "We have allies in South Korea, Japan, and Australia."
Duckworth: "None of those countries are in ASEAN."
It's 2027. The AI bubble has popped. The US dollar has bust. It's 500 dollars to buy a burger and it makes you immediately have diarrhea. The sun has been renamed America.
Wait. So a woman in the military was raped by her commanding officer, because he used his key to sneak into her quarters, and a judge just decided that being raped was "one of her duties" and declared it a workplace accident??????????
Who the fuck is this judge? How does one even come to that conclusion??
Our parks belong to all of us.
These places should be protected for every generation, not sold off to Trump’s ultra-wealthy friends to profit off of.
I will fight this, both for Yosemite and for every treasured park that would be up for grabs if this domino falls.

Months later, the administration announced a deal allowing SoftBank to build a data center on federal land.
We will expose and put an end to this pay to play when we win back the House.

Over the weekend, Republican Steve Schmidt, who ran John McCain's 2008 campaign for president, was interviewed on MSNBC.
In response to a very general question regarding the Trump Presidency, Mr. Schmidt spoke for two solid minutes and gave the most insightful and brutally honest response of what the Trump Presidency has done to our great country.
“Donald Trump has been the worst president this country has ever had. And, I don't say that hyperbolically. He is. But he is a consequential president. And, he has brought this country in three short years to a place of weakness that is simply unimaginable if you were pondering where we are today from the day where Barack Obama left office. And, there were a lot of us on that day who were deeply skeptical and very worried about what a Trump presidency would be. But this is a moment of unparalleled national humiliation, of weakness.”
"When you listen to the President, these are the musings of an imbecile. An idiot. And I don't use those words to name call. I use them because they are the precise words of the English language to describe his behavior. His comportment. His actions. We've never seen a level of incompetence, a level of ineptitude so staggering on a daily basis by anybody in the history of the country whose ever been charged with substantial responsibilities.”
"It's just astonishing that this man is president of the United States. The man, the con man, from New York City. Many bankruptcies, failed businesses, a reality show, that branded him as something that he never was. A successful businessman. Well, he's the President of the United States now, and the man who said he would make the country great again. And he's brought death, suffering, and economic collapse on truly an epic scale."
"And, let's be clear. This isn't happening in every country around the world. This place. Our place. Our home. Our country. The United States. We are the epicenter. We are the place where you're the most likely to die from this disease. We're the ones with the most shattered economy. And we are, because of the fool that sits in the Oval Office behind the Resolute Desk.

Secretary Marco Rubio: You have just lost any trust Venezuelans ever had on you, and it will come to haunt you. You opted to use US power, not to free Venezuelans, but to go to bed with our oppressors. You opted to push an asset grab, an unconstitutional deal with an illegitimate oppressive government, instead of using US leadership to re-establish constitutional rule and democracy first, and then deal with a legitimate government that could have made credible long-term commitments, in due course. This announced deal will not stand. Delcy, contrary to what you boss just stated [see below] is not "highly respected" by any Venezuelan I know, or by any American outside of the Mar-a-lago kleptocracy. She has no legitimacy or constitutional power to commit Venezuela to any such deal. Venezuelans will not respect this illegitimate deal and no major US oil company will take it seriously because they know it will not last. No wonder you are using wanted criminals - like Alejandro Betancourt - to make this shameful deal. You are also preventing our leader - Maria Corina Machado - from returning to Venezuela, and you have conspired to delay elections and the return to democracy. Shameful.
