The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has launched a mass signature collection drive in support of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s presidential bid, with hundreds of supporters turning up at the movement’s Kampala offices to endorse his candidature.

The Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Minsa Kabanda, received the registration books to kick-start the exercise in the capital, with thousands of signatures expected to be collected and presented to General Muhoozi at a ceremony scheduled for December 20, 2026, at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.
