The TC Saturday Reunion was incredible as always! So much learning happened today. Grateful🍎 #tcrwp#teachertwitter @jessicasauer100 thank you for this great session on shared reading!!
Riverview School has been nominated as a Blue Ribbon School! It’s been nominated as an Exemplary High Performing School!! We couldn’t be prouder of this wonderful distinction! Thank you to our amazing staff for making this possible!#RVrocketpride
Student led discussions using our (Pokémon) learning progression! Ss discussed where their NF stop&jot post it belongs based on the student created standards they set for each level on the progression. Later, Ss independently rewrite/edit/
revise to make it “evolve” (stronger).
Thank you @TeachersCollege for an incredible three days! And a special thank you to our school @RV_Rockets for sending us to learn all about Gus, Mabel, and TC’s new Phonics Units of Study!😃🚀 #tcrwp#phonicsinstitute
A3: Mark up a favorite mentor text against the checklist. When kids check "not yet" they can go to the Writing Center, grab the mentor text, and see how a published author did what they need to do! #TCRWP
As funny as this was, I realized it’s so true. So having Ss call out lets you hear them all & lets their answers come out. It takes the spotlight & fear of participating away as well. I quickly learned that calling out (when told to&taught how to) isn’t always bad?! #mindblown
Yesterday we watched a video of a Phonics wkshp lesson where Ss were calling out when told to do so rather than raising their hands. @natalielouis13 said this is done bc often the only kids who raise their hands are the ones who didn’t have to come to school this year😆
When @natalielouis13 asks who is a first year teacher during her keynote speech and you’re the only one who raises their hand. 😂 This is my second grade teammate, Adrienne!! Welcome to the wonderful world of teaching❤️ #firstyearteacher#tcrwp
