Les soldats russes se branchent sur Starlink en Ukraine. Elon Musk jure que SpaceX n'a jamais vendu un seul terminal à la Russie

Février 2024 : le renseignement militaire ukrainien (GUR) intercepte des conversations radio des envahisseurs. Des terminaux Starlink sont installés dans des unités de la 83ᵉ brigade d'assaut aérien russe.
Dans un échange publié par Kyiv, un soldat lâche : "Starlink fonctionne".

Musk réagit aussitôt sur X : les affirmations d'une vente à la Russie sont « totalement fausses ».
SpaceX précise que son service n'est « pas actif en Russie » et que les magasins russes qui le prétendent "escroquent leurs clients".

Sauf que personne n'accuse SpaceX de vendre directement à Moscou. Les kits passent par des circuits parallèles et des pays tiers - Dubaï est cité, avec des comptes autorisés.
Une source militaire ukrainienne le dit au média Defense One : « Les Starlink sont achetés via des tierces parties. Je suis étonné qu'ils ne l'aient pas fait plus tôt. »

Preuves sur les réseaux : la bénévole moscovite « Katia Valia » filme fièrement ses stocks de terminaux Starlink collectés pour l'armée russe. D'autres images montrent des soldats déballant les kits, étiquette « fragile » sur le carton.

Starlink, c'est un réseau fermé : SpaceX est maître de sa constellation de satellites. Un terminal ne capte rien tant que la société n'a pas activé l'abonnement lié à ce terminal.
Sans SpaceX, pas de connexion, point.

SpaceX n'a peut-être pas vendu Starlink à l'armée russe, mais les Russes l'utilisent quand même ....et Musk a pris tout son temps pour prendre des mesures pour bloquer ces terminaux.

Le Kremlin dément toute utilisation de Starlink. Avec tout le crédit qu'on peut accorder à la parole du pouvoir russe 🙃

Musk claims that Ukraine violated Starlink’s terms of service by using the system on combat drones.

But according to people directly involved in the process at Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, this claim is simply not true.

In February, Ukraine introduced a whitelist system for satellite terminals. Both civilians and military personnel could register stationary Starlink terminals.

But any terminal operating while in motion had to be specifically authorized and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, it would not function.

This means that Ukrainian combat drones requiring satellite communications could operate only through Starshield, not civilian Starlink.

And Starshield is a military service provided under arrangements with the U.S. government.

So the question is: how can Ukraine be accused of violating civilian Starlink rules when its military drone operations were conducted through a separately authorized military system?

Hoje tive uma última conversa com meu sobrinho (o do meio), de 30 anos a respeito da eleição. Ele é o único dali que ainda está para votar no Bolsonaro🤢.

Perguntei o motivo, tava de boa, sem pressão, uma conversa. Ele me respondeu:

"Tio, vou votar no Flávio Bolsonaro pq o Brasil precisa de mudança! Os preços das coisas tá caro, Lula prometeu picanha barata. etc.."

Respirei fundo😒, fui igual médico, primeiro entender o sintoma! Identifiquei, ele tá consumindo face, instagram, zap com um nicho de Nikolas, Marçal etc e com discurso padrão deles.

Aí fui lentamente passando informações do que era com Jair bolsonaro e o que é hoje com Lula, e o que ainda mata começou com Lula, sempre dizendo que as fontes havia pesquisa (eu pego mas globo, UOL, Forum), evitei fontes parciais para não afugentar o melequento😉. Expliquei a ele todos os programas sociais do Lula, botei o meu exemplo, formado com bolsa 100%, o exemplo do irmão menor que tá se formando na UERJ Economia pelo PROUNI😭. Passei que muitos anos ele teve o auxílio do bolsa família para ajudar a não passar fome... Enfim fiz o que dava para fazer.

No final eu apertei a ferida dele👹:

"O mundo que vivemos é capitalista, cada um por si. Não dá para ele falar que "O Brasil tá uma merda" se com 30 anos não buscou fazer uma facudade, um curso técnico, evoluir para sair da inércia. Não dá para reclamar do sistema, sem ter feito nada pra mudar ele!"🙄

Athila chilicou (normal), reclamou, citou Lulinha 😴 e então eu fiz minha última ação: Prontifiquei a ajudá-lo a estudar para esse ENEM, tirar uma boa nota e começar uma faculdade, usando o PROUNI (Não sei que tempo vou ter pra isso kkkk).

Elon, first of all, thank you. Nobody really ever denied SpaceX’s enormous contribution to Ukraine’s defense, especially during the early days of Russia’s invasion. That deserves recognition.🇺🇦🛰️

But stop twisting the fundamental reality of this war, FFS! Russia invaded Ukraine. Not the other way around. Russia is responsible for starting this slaughter, and Russia can end its invasion by withdrawing its forces.

Ukrainians are defending their homes, their children, and their right to exist. And the recent Starlink and Starshield restrictions reportedly affected Ukrainian drones intercepting Russian attacks, not just offensive operations.

You talk about people dying in trenches and condemn those you call warmongers. But where is that same outrage directed at Putin, whose decision to invade created this catastrophe? Wanting the killing to stop is one thing. Blaming those defending themselves without holding the invader accountable is another.

Yes, you helped Ukraine enormously. Most of us appreciate that. But your past contribution doesn’t make every subsequent statement correct. You know who started this war, Elon. Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones.

As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true.

In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians.
But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work.

In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield.

We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.

The speed limits on Starlink and Starshield are still there. The speed has not been restored. And the delivery of interceptors to protect us against Russian ballistic missiles is still delayed. We’re waiting for interceptors that were already agreed on. But they are still not coming. This is a real problem, because the Russians attack us almost every single day.

All of this is happening while we continue our quite successful operations on the front. We keep defending positions. Things have become harder – partly because of the Starlink and Starshield policies and speed limits. But our frontline is still holding and I am proud of how strong our people are.
