🇷🇺 “Refusing entry to Russians may look like an appealing policy, but it could hurt the West’s friends and help its enemies.” @KirkseniyaSF https://t.co/n61JSuhuHc
@qqqqqqq222227@Kamalkakahaani @RyanDeene @Ivan__IV@mrsorokaa I recommend you to read "Nothing is True and Everything is Possible" by Peter Pomerantsev. Maybe it will make it a bit more clear for you how that country works.
@InWhiskas@mrsorokaa +1 this is only for the show. Not going to end the war, not going to spur any revolution in Russia, not going to hurt the actual decision makers. Just creating hate and burning bridges, distracting thousands of Russian-born volunteers in EU from helping refugees.
@FerdiTrachsler @Adamkha61378567 @mrsorokaa@bctallis They are not bees, and they don't have a hive mind. People that hate the West and people that go live in the West are different people. Can't believe someone can seriously not understand this.
@Yadontsayreally@Vladddtfan@RadioFreeTom You are saying it as if it were obvious 25 years ago that that man would start a war a quarter century later. At the time, even the liberals (e.g. Nemtsov who was later murdered by Putin) supported his presidency only to be disillusioned soon after.
From a police protocol of the Russians arrested by militiamen outside the Kremlin 🇷🇺:
"...the detainees were holding invisible posters with anti-government slogans."
❗️ Давайте, я просто расскажу о вещах, которые абсолютно нормальны сейчас, в остром стрессе.
Чтобы никто не пугался сам себя.
Потому что нам и без того есть чег пугаться.

@EmptyJarDoto @_Soreneth_ @TonyRogers1256@Strandjunker Or go away to other countries which are not as punitive towards the rich. As an IT professional working in Switzerland, I would only welcome more job choices ;)
@roman7324 @NeilPitkeathly @AnnaMyroniuk 80% of those who respond - how many are those? I've seen estimates as low as 3% for the response rate (driving 80% down to 2.4%), and of these responses many will not say what they think because it's dangerous these days. Polls during wartime in an autocracy are useless.
@danicamclellan @CamBayingwolf @imnumnum@shaunwalker7 The Russian language doesn't have articles so I'm unsure what "the Ukraine" should sound like in Russian. Not the first time I see this claim and it's very confusing.
@christosxx2 @olliecarroll A lot of people have been and are leaving. At least half of my university group is in the US and Europe. Not everyone can easily leave, and some still had hope in the protests.
@JohnLangridge91 @mbetka23 @sarahrainsford@navalny This. And that added to America being a democracy where people have way more power over their government's actions, aren't locked in jail, tortured, or killed for a dissenting opinion on a regular basis.
