@Alexsmith10 This was definitely true for the 4k 50hz tv I bought a few years back, it worked when tested at 60fps. I wonder if there is a YT test for the 100hz/120hz equivalent...
@Alexsmith10 Ah I see what you're getting at. In the purest sense - no. 100hz means the TV is can refresh 100/sec so it would mistime some of the frames on a 120fps input however - as you've probably read - panels sold as 100hz over here can likely deal with 120hz but are marketed differently
@Alexsmith10 Where this changes is if you have any media devices that actually produce an output at 120hz (like consoles). In this case, the additional frames are 'real', so you want a screen that can deal with them. 100hz screen will default to the lower value (usually 60hz for consoles)
