@jasonfried@Tesla You would think ultimately that's what we get. The family vehicle going around picking up and dropping off mum dad and kids throughout the day at school work sport shops etc, 2030's and I think yeah along with Optimus in the home, could be glorious is my bet T$LA
@elonmusk I'd fit right in, just a bit light on for qualifications Boss. All in investor though ๐. Can't wait for September 3 you fucking legend!! I told my wife I'm getting a Cybertruck next year, she said yes ๐
@cyantist@Tesla This was my takeaway, it's a new level of luxury transport. No longer concerned with the details of driving, like supervising a construction site. Not actually doing any work just talking and looking around, ironically the luddites still want the BMW etc driving experience ๐
@Gfilche I'm a bit surprised, assumed we were further behind with V15, incredibly excited and I believe we wouldn't be having 3 September without a broad solid path to scale, impressive stuff. The pick up drop off might be ming blowing too, pumped!
@HanselRivera171 I heard we just gave up on BIPV tiles, not cost effective, now pivoting to regular flate plate collectors, I'll still be buying them ๐
The current allegations against the Sydney Swans players:
- They paid a stripper to slap her buttocks three times
- They slapped her buttocks a fourth time without paying
The whole incident is scummy, involving cocaine and hard drinking in the middle of the season. The players acted like gronks considering they all had partners, and they should not have slapped the ladyโs buttocks a fourth time without paying.
That said, this incident objectively does not rise to the level of an atrocity. Itโs not a war crime or a crime against humanity like the media is acting.
I thought the players had gang raped a woman. That is how the media initially depicted the situation. But the actual details of the incident do not rise to this level of seriousness.
Weโve had a week of endless news coverage now. Male celebrities are releasing statements calling on all Australian men to interrogate their own complicity in violence towards women.
As an Australian man who doesnโt do drugs, drink, or use strippers, I literally donโt understand how I have any moral complicity in this whatsoever. I donโt see how it involves me. Why do I need to interrogate my own conscience? I didnโt do anything.
This is becoming psychotic. Our constitutional head of state, the Governor General, even released a statement saying she was deeply troubled by the incident.
Yet an actual atrocity like the torture and murder of Oliver Conroy was basically passed over without any broader comment by politicians or leaders.
You know, for once I can't fault the Tesla haters. When Cybercab was unveiled on 10/10/2024 the idea that Tesla would figure out unsupervised self-driving, mass produce a car with no steering wheel and pedals and get regulators to approve it in less than 2 years sounded impossible.
But that is exactly what the Tesla team has somehow pulled off. Major props to all the engineers who made this vision a reality.
