Another minor, speeding in a car, takes a life in Mumbai.
A 42-year-old cyclist, out on his very first day of cycling to get fitter, is k!lled by a minor(17-year-old) driving at high speed.
And now? Another “essay” will likely be written.

Indian farmers' hopes for bumper crops following this year's abundant monsoon rains were dashed by heavy downpours just before harvest that damaged their fields, crushing the dreams of millions who rely solely on agriculture for their livelihoods #Monsoon
@dakorosensei@SloganMurugan Don’t you feel Yulu played it smart? They showed the pedal powered, cheaper to use bicycles while selling this dream of saving the planet. What they got was prime real estate for free. And soon, we saw the entire fleet “pivoting” to EVs, charging higher to the user.
@gbenvir @IMANSHJOSHI@SloganMurugan I used it 3-4 times, at different timings of the day. Never did it come below the Rs 30 per seat benchmark of the reckless shared auto. And it exposes me to a lot of risks on the road. I gave up. It was a land scam.
@the_cycledad Thanks for sharing the summary. Should we be surprised? Why is cycling a subject to be handled by the sports minister? Why not urban devpt?
Also, how many of these attendees have vested interests in cycling where every selfie counts?
India will provide digital public infrastructure to rest of the world. But who will provide basic infrastructure for commuters to get to BKC from Bandra station.
Well done Mumbai. Ignore trains and buses at your peril. Now enjoy traffic jams. Hope that when the metro comes up it will make people dump their cars. The future is very bright.
Over 10 vehicles were seized after an adventure drive organized by the official Mahindra team in Tiger Zone 8 of Ranthambore.
The forest department is now pursuing legal action against Mahindra Adventure officials.
It's alarming that such an event could occur under the watch of a respected company like Mahindra, especially in a sensitive wildlife area.
Disturbing the ecosystem and endangering wildlife for the sake of profit is not just disappointing—it's unacceptable.
Mahindra should be held accountable for this gross negligence.
@moefcc@ParveenKaswan
@tajmahalfoxtrot It’s a mad race with those crazy corners ! Lance’s phrase “it’s not about the bike” is absolutely true here. More than the equipment, Customs point requires jigar in the rider
@bhaumikgowande@mieknathshinde@MPLodha@ShelarAshish Disincentives like this? Isn’t it too much to ask in a city which has reclaimed the sea, dug up under water to create toll free infra, after creating an elevated road (also toll free) on the eastern flank
@the_cycledad@amitabhk87 And minions at the state/city level also love to create small stretches of cycle tracks for the same reason: the kickbacks! Cycling influencers get swayed by such island-like approach bereft of integrated plans, all for the gloating selfies
@arjitsoni12 Sir, imho let us as cyclists not press for new infra. In the political economy thriving on kickbacks, it doesn’t lead to much of gains for our community. Rather let us push for softer ones like making space for cycle parking at already existing lots and harp on sharing the road
