Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble and his wife Chethana Kumble are seen promoting the beauty of Sanskrit by speaking it fluently in this video.
It’s inspiring to see a sporting icon use his influence to highlight the richness of one of the world’s oldest languages. Wonderful!
What a momentous day yesterday was, inauguration at the hands of Hon @Dev_Fadnavis ji!
@cIndraneel & me used to do some fun & a lot of stupid things in college together, seeing him rise to see such heights is absolutely stellar.
He is an able thought leader who isn’t scared of working hard & has always been a firm supporter of multiple public policy efforts.
Wishing him the very best for all the amazing stuff he does at @ChitaleBandhu & beyond!
Sir, it was truly an honor that you could inaugurate our new facility.
We stand committed to buidling on the Maharashtrian Food Narrartive and welcome everyone to see the transparency of how food is made at the Chitale Bandhu Vision Park
In the throes of being diplomatically overwhelmed by a rampaging EI Co in 1799, the weakened Maratha power at Pune turned to Nana Phadnis for advice. Nana was nearly 58 y old ~ released after six months in prison ~ and was a pale shadow of his former self.
In 1799, Tipu was killed and in the same year, the overbearing English made extravagant political demands on the Pune Government.
Just months away from his own demise, Nana resolved the diplomatic challenges thrown in his own way.
This article describes some of these.

Huge congrats to Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran on receiving his honorary Knighthood (KBE).
From Steel to Jaguar Land Rover, Tata isn't just an Indian investor; it’s the backbone of British manufacturing.
A well-deserved honor for a true bridge-builder! 🦁🏢

🥭 GROCERY WIN: Good news for your kitchen!
🍲 The UK-India trade deal is already easing the flow of Alphonso mangoes, okra, and pomegranates into UK stores.
With tariffs vanishing and customs clearing faster, expect fresher Indian produce and lower 'landing costs' at your local shop very soon.

Social media trends move fast.
History doesn’t.
The WWII Memorial honors those who sacrificed across the world. India alone sent 2.5M+ soldiers to fight and 1 of them was my grandfather.
Memorials aren’t backdrops. They deserve respect.
“The rise of India will be determined by India. It will be determined by our strength, not by the mistakes of others”
Just finished an animated session ‘Heart of the Seas: The Future of the Indian Ocean’ at #RaisinaDialogue2026 with colleagues FMs @HMVijithaHerath, @RitishRamful, @BarryFaure, Fmr FM Marise Payne, #SriLanka #Mauritius #Seychelles #Australia.

“He’s not a prospect. He has 7 Slams so he’s definitely not just a promise for the future. He’s already a legend. If you look at the historic greats in Slams there aren’t many who have 7. Calling him a prospect makes no sense”
Dear Indian tennis fans, welcome to the world of Dhakshineshwar Suresh. Recorded three wins against a strong Dutch team in the Davis Cup. 6'5" with a booming serve. We might actually have a proper one on our hands.
Some of my happiest sporting memories as a kid were in the Davis Cup. We used to be a powerhouse. The pinnacle was beating a really strong French team at the Frejus on clay in a scintillating tie. I know the win against Croatia was massive too. Paes beat Ivanisevic in 5 when Goran was at his peak. On grass. After being two sets to love down. For the last 15-20 years though, it's been slim pickings. In that context this is a massive win which will hopefully reestablish a great tradition. https://t.co/8rfot2QZSA
I’m fascinated by Dr. Shubha V. Iyengar because she literally helps planes land through fog while most of us are learning to move through metaphorical fog.
Topper in BSc & MSc, backed by parents who encouraged her interest in science when girls rarely were inspired to pursue it.
40+ years at CSIR–NAL & she led the team that developed Drishti, built for India’s fog, rain, dust, and uncertainty.
When the world feels unclear, remember: someone built systems so others could land safely.
She is my #MondayMotivation
- Government is supposed to fund R&D. India ranks very low on this count and it has to change. Nothing wrong with Mr Murthy or anybody else exhorting the government to do more on this, it is not “preaching”.
- How do you know he or other IT entrepreneurs and executives are not doing it? Not everybody comes on X to make noise about their activities and seek attention. Do you know how many multi-millionaires Infosys created, many of whom are not just LPs in venture funds but have also started their own funds to support companies with much more than capital? Don’t let your ignorance make you rancid.
- Not everyone who is wealthy is obligated to undertake / fund R&D or invest in tech or any other thing. People invest in what they understand and what they know. People have a right to preserve and invest their capital as they deem fit. At the same time as citizens every person can ask their governments (Union and states) to fund more R&D, where India ranks quite poorly compared to peer economies.
Attacking wealth creators and entrepreneurs like Mr Murthy and companies like Infosys seems to have become a desperate attention seeking tactic practiced by a small section of newly visible stock market investors, much like people spewed vitriol at Sachin Tendulkar back in the day - if I were to describe what you do as reductively and arrogantly in the way you are sitting here and panning others, what do people like you do other than shuffling around pieces of paper in the secondary market and giving gyaan on X? What is your contribution? Getting bored staring at the trading screen all day and seeking a high here?
Stop denigrating India’s icons, go do something useful with your time.
Have a good day ✌️
