@strengthtoday1@ToeKnee_C@WilDaBeast_22@BernieSanders I never said that some states didn't need the other. I completely agree with you, without all states our country will never be the same.
However, I would really appreciate if you referred from using the word "socialism" as it is clear you have no actual understanding of it
@strengthtoday1@ToeKnee_C@WilDaBeast_22@BernieSanders I hope you will read about socialism and will be able to have a discussion about it in an educated manner. Please note I do not say this as an insult but rather as something I truly do believe. Understanding this will help strengthen your argument, rather than weaken it.
@strengthtoday1@ToeKnee_C@WilDaBeast_22@BernieSanders Not to mention, that as with all political theory, it is not simply one that creates a horrible environment but rather a combination of economic, political and social theories that give way for the perfect disaster.
@strengthtoday1@ToeKnee_C@WilDaBeast_22@BernieSanders I can definitely see why you'd be skeptical, it's hard to accept change. I have been studying political science for three years and sometimes forget not everyone is exposed to this information, nor have the same understanding and view of this knowledge.
@strengthtoday1@ToeKnee_C@WilDaBeast_22@BernieSanders A popular vote system will not create a one party system, on the contrary. With every vote weighing the same, there will be more variance. Especially when it comes to third parties. Just because all you've known is the electoral college does not mean it has to stay.
@strengthtoday1@ToeKnee_C@WilDaBeast_22@BernieSanders Truth be told, it simply shows how effective a popular vote is in reflecting the majority rule. I appreciate you trying to prove a point, I just hope you would educate yourself a little bit more on the topic
@strengthtoday1@ToeKnee_C@WilDaBeast_22@BernieSanders Secondly, Mexico does have a lot of issues, as every country does. Nevertheless, Mexicans were able to choose representatives from more than two parties and every single vote weighs the same. Whether you agree with the current administration in the country or not,
@Rubious_1@BernieSanders If the democrats win the popular vote it's because they appeal to more people. This can be done by both parties, especially when it comes to voters such as myself who vote for policy rather than party.
It seems rather odd to want to not have an equal weight on votes.
@ToeKnee_C@WilDaBeast_22@BernieSanders (3/3) It simply makes so much more sense to let one vote have the same weight as another. You are right, we have a republic, not a democracy. Doesn't mean it has to stay that way.
@ToeKnee_C@WilDaBeast_22@BernieSanders (2/3)Most people who were allowed to vote didn't even have access to the candidates information, they didn't know who they were, which is why they entrusted local people to make that decision. Now we have access to this information,
Dear everyone reminding us that Biden isn't perfect and there's still work to be done and the next few months will be awful,
WE KNOW. Take a knee.
