@mamory@emrichards@ehaspel @elinoraspegren @mamory I’ll let you know! We begin hybrid teaching next week. Crazy amounts of safety protocols to follow, no sharing of anything. It will be interesting for sure
Want to show students how to turn in an assignment in Google Classroom? My first grader breaks down the steps! Love having access to the student view of things, right from my own home! @PoplarTreeES#AmazingThingsHappenEverywhere https://t.co/2azNJHhXkI
Don’t feel guilty about giving your students and yourselves frequent brain breaks throughout your school day. Don’t worry for a single second about what your administration is going to say. We, as humans, NEED these breaks. Take them.
Teachers plates are still overflowing. They still have at least five jobs. Teacher, curriculum developer, IT for students, therapist for parents struggling, & office worker. All while trying to take care of their family too. They need grace & support now more than ever.
Teachers Using Zoom:
If you've never used it on a Chromebook, there is
no whiteboard
no annotate feature
no virtual background
No Gallery View when sharing.
PLEASE know this before asking your students, who are on Chromebooks, to use any of those features and BE PATIENT!
Whether Virtual or F2F, embrace the team concept. You should not feel like an island. Every teacher doesn't need to create their own lessons, activities, etc. You're not in competition w/colleagues, so share. Team means to work together and lean on each other for support.

If you’re online learning plan consists of hours a day (2-3+) online in zoom, I would question your understanding of effective, child-centred pedagogy. I urge you to reach out to others and rethink things particularly if you want kids to love learning.
