@NTVsSteveWhite @momma_alison It is a huge part and a hard part of the experience. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a strong ag economy but it is strained by taxes. Any place with a weak farm economy tends to suffer tremendously.

@NTVsSteveWhite Yes! If we could create more opportunities and reason for tourists to come to Nebraska. Places such as Tennessee are able to do this. If we solely rely on sales taxes for things like hair cuts, etc. the burden would be passed on to the business creating a whole set of issues.

@momma_alison @NTVsSteveWhite It’s not very fun. For example, on about 3 qtrs of fairly sandy farm ground in Boone County, the producer I have in mind pays $20,000. That’s not to mention their land payment of $40,000. Then there is the utility bills, input costs for the crops or commodities they raise. Etc.
