Football is back, and our public safety team is ready.
Every game day, these unsung heroes work all weekend to make sure our City is safe for both our residents and visitors.
@SherryA1958@TuscaloosaPatch@WaltMaddox My office doesn’t have live traps or anything along those lines, but we will make sure the expectation is rodent eradication!
@SherryA1958@TuscaloosaPatch@WaltMaddox Hi, Sherry!
Our team was out last week and continues to be present. The house next door seems to be the biggest issue and has been sent to Property Maintenance, specifically mentioning rats. There were 3 properties turned over for tall grass also!
@SherryA1958@WaltMaddox Hi, Sherry! I’m responsible for our code enforcement division! Would you DM me the address? We’ll have someone out to look at all of 41st Street Monday!
The City of Tuscaloosa is incredibly grateful to Coach Saban and the Saban family for their profound impact - not just on the football field, but in our classrooms and across our entire community.
Congratulations, Coach, on your well-deserved retirement and #RollTide ❤️
It’s impossible to express Tuscaloosa’s gratitude for Coach Saban. Beyond unparalleled successes and countless championship trophies, Coach and Ms. Terry helped rebuild our community after the April 27, 2011 tornado and shaped our next generation through Nick’s Kids Foundation.

The pedestrian bridge over Jack Warner Pkwy made a leap towards completion today as the full piece across the road was loaded in. 😮 This bridge will connect @TheSabanCenter to River District Park + improve pedestrian access between the riverfront and downtown!
Bama is on track to play in the Cracker Barrel bowl this year. Unfortunately that’s not a football game, but rather a motorcycle gang brawl in the parking lot of the Pelham Cracker Barrel, but attendance should be good if it’s on a Sunday after church. Smells like a W to me.
Happy Labor Day, Tuscaloosa! We are thankful to each and every workforce that makes this city such a great place to live! 🫶
Reminder, City Hall is closed today, and will resume normal hours tomorrow. Garbage, trash, and recycling collection is also delayed one day this week.
Mayor @WaltMaddox has appointed Jessica Junkin Municipal Court Administrator. Prior to this role, Junkin served in several roles with the City for over seven years. Congratulations, Jessica!
