This morning, @WeAreSanctuary brutally tore down these beautiful 133 year-old sandstone cupolas on James Sellars' original 1888 ward pavilion at the Victoria Infirmary. A flagrant and unnecessary act of architectural vandalism. As if they haven't debased their reputation enough.
This has to be the most surreal sunset that I have ever photographed. No it’s not some tropical island, it is the north west coast of Scotland on Friday night.

What a life! Unless you read Times obit, the death of Aberdeen-born Wendy Maxwell will have gone unnoticed. From meeting Churchill, Stalin & Roosevelt; drinks with Ernest Hemingway; working in Cabinet war Rooms; and a whole lot more.
Wendy died of Covid-19, aged 100, in London.
