@jenteach13 I explained the effect of deforestation to my grade 2s by taking away students chairs and telling everyone that had to sit on a chair. They shared chairs then I took away more. Ended with 4-5 kids per chair. We talked about how it made them feel after & compared it to animals.

Alberta teachers don't get paid to supervise practicums for student teachers in Bachelor of Education programs. It's a huge amount of unpaid work, and my guess is @demetriosnab is going to be hard-pressed to find volunteers to take on student teachers who aren't in B.Ed programs.

@MsLutzmann I'm curious where they will find the teachers and EAs to staff these teams.... I'm pretty sure we're still waiting on our 1000 extra teachers for this school year. I guess we're now looking for 1476?
