People lack accountability and then say “you could’ve talked to me.” No, I couldn’t. You don’t listen or you deflect. You turn every concern into an attack, twist the conversation and somehow make yourself the victim. Talking to you doesn’t bring resolution, it leaves me exhausted. I don’t owe my peace to someone who only wants a conversation to win an argument instead of understand what I’m saying.
i’m not your trauma dump friend! i like to go places & have fun too! don’t only come to me when yo life bad or with bad news!!! then be out hours later enjoying yourself with people you can’t vent to or have serious conversations with.. IT’S TIRING !
Is anyone else ever genuinely shocked when you find out you have an impact on someone's life? A coworker can be like "I've missed seeing you" and I'm just like "???? you?? missed me????? My presence has an effect on your daily experience???? i affect things??? What???"
I don’t understand why people say to forgive other people for myself, not for them because it will bring me peace. As if the resentment I have towards someone is just causing turmoil inside of me. It takes nothing from me to resent someone. It is second nature to me, actually.
One of the most dangerous things in the world is not being able to say no to people because you don't want to upset them or dissapoint them. This will completely ruin your life in every way possible, at work, in your private life, your sex life and your friendships. It's a way of removing your own consent in your own decisions and go against your wishes, it is always a crime against yourself. Let yourself have a say. Upsetting people is better than traumatizing yourself.
I’ve noticed that some of the most evil hearted, shallow, mean people are surrounded by family and friends while genuine people with pure hearts often seem alone, isolated, and with little to no family/friend support
I ain’t never claimed to be innocent. 😭 I’ll tell you exactly where I was wrong. I’ll apologize when I mean it. I’ll own my attitude, my mouth, my decisions. What I WON’T do is let somebody paint me like I woke up and randomly chose violence. 😂 Every version of me somebody hates was created by an experience they conveniently leave out. I’m not proud of every reaction… but I know exactly what triggered it. That’s the difference.
I used to think communication was the key until I realized comprehension is, you can communicate all you want with someone but if they don’t understand you, it’s a silent chaos
People who run away from conversations, shut down when you express yourselt, or pretend like nothing happened after hurting your feelings are more concerned with protecting themselves than with learning how to sit with discomfort.
Real connection can't grow where avoidance lives.
Your family will straight up ruin your life if you let them decide anything for you. And what’s crazy is most of the time they think they’re helping you by doing it. Maybe on some level they love seeing you fail and prove yourself incapable of being your own person
I don’t think people realize how heavy it is to go through life feeling like you never truly belong anywhere. Always the one left out, misunderstood, or just… present. Not hated, but never really chosen either. That kind of rejection creates a wall around you without even meaning to. It’s been that way for me for as long as I can remember. And yeah, I’ve learned how to carry it, but deep down it’s still a wound that never fully closes.
Maybe I’ll never fit in or feel like I belong anywhere, and I’m slowly learning how to make peace with that.
the neurodivergent obsession with trying to figure out why someone did what they did. replaying it. analyzing it. asking your friends. asking your therapist. asking your friends again. because your brain literally cannot accept that some people are just cruel for no reason.
