Sen. Harris stated with all the debates had thus far and talks about health care there have yet to be discussions about women's rights to reproductive health care. I think this is an important issue that does need to be discussed. #SWO332

Mayor Pete Buttigieg stated he would fight for the Equality Act, which he said is needed to protect LGBTQ people from discrimination. I believe this act is so important because we should all have equality regardless of sexuality & gender identity. #SWO332

Sen. Cory Booker stated that if we wait until LGBTQ+ affects us personally to develop empathy we will never become a land of freedom and justice for all. I agree with this statement. We should have empathy regardless if it affects us personally or not. #SWO332

Sen. Cory Booker also said he will put laws in place that stop the discrimination in adoption agencies against same sex couples. There are so many children in need of loving homes & discrimination shouldn't stop couples from adopting. #SWO332

After talking about the Disability Policies and accessibility around campus in class I realized the handicap parking spaces in the New Street Parking Garage may not have enough space if a vehicle had a ramp for a wheelchair. #SWO332

I think we need a better understanding on why immigrants come to seek asylum in the U.S. During the Latina/o Conference I learned that 25.5% of Guatemala's population is illiterate and 98% crimes go unprosecuted. They are seeking a better, safer life. #SWO332

@ProfDente Violence against transgender individuals at this point in our society is basically a straight up hate crime. These crimes are usually done by people who are uncomfortable with their own personal sexual orientation #swo332

@LuksicAlex I think education about gender identity, sexual orientation, LGBTQ+, ect. needs to also go beyond the schools. It needs to be brought to bigger institutions also like places of employment and incorporated with police trainings. #SWO332
