It does not matter if BJP wins Punjab or not; one thing is certain: elements in Punjab will become a national security threat.
All sorts of elements are roaming in Punjab in Nihang attire. They might as well be Bangladeshis, as we have seen in the case of Lollipop Nihang Jasdeep, who has been found to be a Bangladeshi.
I recently visited #Gujarat, and one thing became abundantly clear: its prosperity and discipline are not merely spoken about, they are visible in everyday life. The proof is right before your eyes.
A visit to the Sabarmati Riverfront and the @atalbridge was an eye opener. What truly stood out was the unwavering commitment to maintaining cleanliness. The riverfront is meticulously maintained throughout the day, and the bridge remains spotless, orderly, and free from litter or nuisance.
There is another lesson worth reflecting on. Entry to the Atal Bridge is not free. Visitors pay a nominal fee of just Rs 50. It is a small amount, but it sends a powerful message.
There is an old saying, "People seldom value what costs them nothing." Unfortunately, that often reflects our collective mindset. Public spaces that are offered free of charge are frequently taken for granted, neglected, or misused. When people contribute, even modestly, they tend to treat those spaces with greater care and respect.
Perhaps the Rs 50 is not just an entry fee. It is the price of accountability. It fosters a sense of ownership, encourages civic responsibility, and reminds us that dignity and discipline often begin with valuing what we use.
Gujarat's success is not built on grand slogans alone. It is built on consistent systems, civic discipline, and the understanding that well maintained public spaces are a shared responsibility, not someone else's obligation.

Thank you @ashmaniKumar_ for tolerating me all these years, and I would never let you get rid of me easily in years to come.

Nagarasu Gurdwara Dispute Deepens: Nihangs Continue Occupation for Second Day, Talks with Administration Fail to Yield Breakthrough
Reports of a devotee being held hostage; internet suspended in Karnaprayag; DM and SP remain stationed at the site.
The tense situation at Gurdwara Damdama Sahib in Nagarasu, Rudraprayag district, continues following its occupation by Nihang Sikhs.
The dispute, which began around 3 p.m. on Saturday, remained unresolved on Sunday, entering its second day. Police and civil administration officials have been engaged in continuous negotiations with the Nihangs to restore normalcy, but the Nihang Sikhs reportedly remain unwilling to accept the administration’s proposals.
Around 8 to 10 Nihang Sikhs are said to be present inside the Nagarasu Gurdwara, located along the Badrinath Highway. Reports indicate that some Nihangs climbed onto the roof of the gurdwara in protest, adding to the atmosphere of fear and tension in the area.
According to sources, there are also reports that a devotee has been held hostage by the Nihangs, although the administration is still verifying these claims. Following the incident, security arrangements have been significantly strengthened, with heavy deployment of police personnel and ITBP forces around the gurdwara.
Rudraprayag District Magistrate Vishal Mishra and Superintendent of Police Niharika Tomar are personally monitoring the situation on the ground. Continuous talks are underway between the gurdwara management and the Nihangs in the presence of administrative officials.
Meanwhile, internet services have been suspended in Karnaprayag as a precautionary measure at the request of the Rudraprayag administration. Officials have stated that law and order remains fully under control across the district and that the Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage is continuing smoothly.
Given the gurdwara’s location along the strategically important Badrinath Highway, the administration is exercising extra caution to prevent any untoward incident. Security agencies are maintaining close surveillance on all developments.
Rudraprayag Police said that approximately seven Nihangs remain inside the gurdwara, while security forces continue to closely monitor the situation.
District Magistrate Vishal Mishra and Superintendent of Police Niharika Tomar remain stationed at the site.
Chamoli District Magistrate Gaurav Kumar confirmed that internet services in Karnaprayag were suspended on the request of the Rudraprayag administration. He added that peace and order are fully maintained in the district, while both the Hemkund Sahib Yatra and the Badrinath Dham pilgrimage are proceeding without disruption.
Superintendent of Police Surjeet Singh Panwar said the situation remains under control and that the administration is fully prepared to deal with any unforeseen developments.
Nagrasu Gurudwara Standoff: DM, SP Talks Fail, Internet Shut, ITBP Deployed
Seven Nihang Sikhs have locked themselves inside Gurudwara Langar Dham Saheb in Nagrasu, Rudraprayag. Two rounds of talks with DM Vishal Mishra and SP Niharika Tomar have failed. They are not coming out.
Police and ITBP are at the spot, Internet services in the area have been suspended. The Gurudwara Management Committee is also attempting to negotiate. Nothing has worked so far.
The root of the anger goes back to June 16. A dispute between Nihang travelers and locals in Karnprayag went unaddressed. The Nihangs allege that the local Gurudwara management never filed a formal complaint in that case. Section 163 has since been imposed in Karnprayag till June 27.
Home Secretary Shailesh Bagoli on Saturday warned that those trying to give the matter a communal colour will face strict legal action. IG Garhwal Rajeev Swaroop has been directed to conduct a detailed inquiry.

PGI Chandigarh seems to have adopted a new culture: insult attendants and patients so thoroughly that no one dares approach a doctor again when seeking urgent or priority medical attention for someone in need.
I am encountering the second such instance firsthand, and it leaves me with the unsettling feeling that PGI has changed. This is not the institution people knew and respected. It was never like this.
When a patient is critically ill, families are already battling panic, anxiety, and mental despair. In such moments, if a person uses whatever rapport or access they have to request timely medical attention, they should be met with empathy and professionalism, not labels, taunts, or unnecessary remarks, as though they are seeking a personal favour rather than trying to help a sick person receive care without delay.
A doctor's primary responsibility is to treat patients, not engage in verbal confrontations or pass judgments on those who are simply trying to ensure that a patient receives timely medical attention. Families facing a medical crisis are often emotionally exhausted and distressed. Adding humiliation to their burden serves no purpose.
Patients come to hospitals because they are sick and need care. Turning healthcare into a matter of ego, personal prejudice, or politics goes against the very spirit on which PGIMER was built. Compassion should never become a casualty of the system.

A patient goes to a hospital for treatment, not for luxury services. A doctor's primary responsibility is to heal and care for patients. There is no need to display unnecessary arrogance or make a patient feel inferior. If a doctor lacks humility and compassion, then the value of the treatment itself is diminished.
Many people from PGIMER, including doctors and others, have called me asking which doctor and department I was referring to.
The reason I do not want to name either the department or the doctor is simple. Behaviour can be temporary. I cannot tarnish the image of an entire department or a doctor's years of hard work because of one unfortunate moment.
I am raising only one concern. To all doctors, please choose your words carefully. Patients and their families often approach you in moments of fear, panic, helplessness and mental distress. A few harsh words can stay with them long after the medical treatment is over, while a few kind words can give them strength to cope.
It takes immense dedication, sacrifice and effort to become a doctor and to build the reputation of a department. Unless someone's actions cost a life or cause irreparable harm, I do not believe in maligning individuals or institutions publicly.

A rare and breathtaking sighting!
A Takin herd was spotted at Bakuchaang (~5 km below Tamzee) on 14 June afternoon by the personnels of Tourism & Forest Department of Sikkim.
Such confirmed visual records are uncommon in the state, making this especially significant. Each sighting strengthens our understanding of the species’ distribution, habitat use, and conservation needs.
The Mishmi Takin remains one of the least-studied large mammals of the Eastern Himalaya—making moments like these invaluable.

Hundreds of pilot whales have been slaughtered in the Faroe Islands with the coast of the North Atlantic archipelago turned crimson red this week.
The 'grindadrap', or 'grind', is a Viking tradition where pilot whales & dolphins are encircled, driven into shallow waters with boats, beached, then slaughtered on the shore.
The islanders eat their meat & blubber as part of the 1,000-year-old Faroese tradition & while the annual macabre ritual is condemned by animal rights groups, the Faroese state - an autonomous territory of Denmark - argue the grindadrap is an integral part of their cultural identity & provides food.🤷♂️
Waris Punjab De's planned march on sacrilege raises a simple question: where was this concern for Sikh maryada during the Ajnala Police Station episode?
Those who justified carrying Sri Palki Sahib into a confrontation with police cannot now claim the moral high ground.
Sacrilege cannot be an election season slogan.

Dear Hindus, have you ever seen hyenas on Discovery - Nat Geo?
You are looking at them right now.
This is how they surrounded the poor Hindu child Surya and mercilessly stabbed him on Bakra Eid.
Glad that UP Police encountered one of them.
But Hindus have been waiting for a permanent fix since the Mughal era. Even the partition was a farce.

On Eid, Asad killed a Hindu boy named Surya.
When a journalist went to the same area and asked a Peaceful man about the incident, he started pretending to be deaf.
Even after being asked repeatedly, he kept saying that he couldn't hear anything and that no sound was reaching him.
But as soon as the journalist asked a different question, he could suddenly hear perfectly and started responding.
How shameless and disgraceful these people are.
