“COVID for me is low risk”
So many fit and healthy people we have seen die from COVID who thought this. Almost forgivable to have been blasé like this in the first wave, but not now with Delta. The evidence that vaccination reduces risk of severe disease or death is without doubt
Dead lucky to work in a hospital adjacent to a beautiful park. You can take a quick walk on your break. 10 minute stroll today and I got to pet 4 dogs and watch a woodpecker. ☺️ well-being levelled up!
Conventional oxygen therapy 🆚 #CPAP as a ceiling of care in ward-based patients with #COVID19: a multi-centre cohort evaluation. - EClinicalMedicine https://t.co/ojkDdtIfM1
Just finished a run of ITU shifts and really sad to say COVID is very much not going away.
Half our ITU beds filled with COVID patients which is having a serious impact on our ability to deliver other services.
Majority coming to ITU aren’t vaccinated. Please #GetVaccinated
Today we surprised more members of the Critical Care Team with some bubbly 🍾🥂 whilst they were out enjoying the sun in Liverpool.
The Critical Care Team have done amazing things over this past 18 months or so. We are thankful for what they have done for our local community 💙
