It’s unfortunate to watch this video circulating online, where an elderly, visibly frightened Muslim man is being aggressively confronted and demeaned. The language used against him is dehumanizing. What’s worse is the way the aggressor physically imposes himself while the elderly man repeatedly pleads to be let go.

This corrupted, inhumane sense of citizen vigilance is a creation of the BJP regime. If a crime has been committed, the police mechanisms should deal with it. Taking the law into one’s own hands, especially in such a humiliating and violent manner, amounts to sheer hooliganism. The local police needs to rein in these rogue elements. @dpododa

Electoral politics has now become a curse for meritocracy. Pol parties tend to increase reservation quota under different names in the hope of getting votes from a particular category/caste. Un-reserved categories are shy of protesting about cold blood murder of meritocracy.
