The public has got too used to being told;
'We just can't afford strong environmental protection and clean waters; we need to cut it even more and call it streamlining.'
And doing nothing.
While someone, often from another country, walks off with the cash that meant we could.
When does the country wake up?
This summer?
Now there's a very, very good question.
Thames Water have now admitted that they are not treating (dousing) their sewage for phosphate due to a "supply issue". That by the way has a massive and negative impact on water quality and aquatic life.
Funny they didn't mention any of that until they were called out on it.
How many other WCs I wonder are having supply issues?
Dirty Business exposed a corrupted regulatory system that the Cunliffe Commission was not allowed to investigate.
It has not gone away and still plays a key role in pollution for profit.
Why is government still hiding the truth about the EA?
Some of you will know the answer.

"Thames Water investors say temporary nationalisation would slow its recovery."
Thames Water still trying to bully tax payers and bill payers I see.
Govt should hang up and tell them to clear off, there is no "market solution" to this mess.

People waking up and realising they don't have to have a crappy world so that a few people can make a lot of money not doing what they are paid to do.
The privatised water industry is undermining legitimate businesses and the lawful economy with its criminally operating scam, and has been for years - with continuing government support.
That ends when enough of you say so.
You can actually fight back https://t.co/J5ADoh2hre
@WindrushWasp Seriously - we are going to need this when the big NGO's deliver the usual, 'it's a good start by government but could be made better' and UKGov already has a few low-level concessions lined up so people can celebrate a hollow victory - The NGOs, so we, are losing.
The only way the laws proposed in the Kings speech will not be catastrophic is is the water sector is taken into public ownership and will not want or need to exploit the 'supervisory' reglators scam that they will usher in.

The government's 'new vision' water legislation will be based on a review openly conducted for the benefit of water shareholders.
Big NGOs knew, but still went along with it and 'hoped they could make it better' - they didn't, of course.
Now comes the proposed new law. Big NGOs .hope that they can make it better'.
Seriously - there is no learning - that is the plan, and we are one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world with some of the best-funded NGOs, many funded by polluters.
This is what they fell for a year ago - blog link.

"As people are fleeced, the energy giants and water bosses profit... It is a daylight robbery"
@RachaelMaskell MP and @jeremycorbyn MP demand public ownership in the Water Bill announced today - and call for private water firms to pay for all the damage they have done.
Don't underestimate the power of this simple act of signing.
The government hasn't, which is why it has resorted to blatant lies to try to put people off.
This is how you stop the polluters for profit from holding all the cards and controlling our government - people power.
It takes 2 minutes - please share.

Fed up with the government feeding your bills to multi-billion £ financiers and dangerous hedge funds?
Get your sewage stories on the front page of your local paper, glaring out of the supermarket displays across the country.
Your government is protecting this scam; how about protecting the people?
@Keir_Starmer@EmmaforWycombe@RachelReevesMP
Well done @witneygazette
@WindrushWasp How did we let government get away with effectively admitting that profit will be put before people until enough of us start dying and it becomes unprofitable?

Not a single completed prosecution for any of the 2 million instances of illegal sewage dumping in the last 5 years. Yet the government claims to be taking action.
#Channel4 is continuing to expose the privatised water industry tonight.
Time to end this mess. Take water into public ownership.
Yes, EA bosses ordered me to downgrade serious, highly damaging pollution incidents to a lower no impact, nothing to see here grade simply to get it off the books and safeguard their own reputation.

If you or any of your friends were put off by the government response, from signing the petition for a referendum on whether to end privatised water - here is why the response belongs in the fiction section and why we have to insist that they stop the lies.
