i'm a support main through and through and i have ISSUES with marvel rivals and their concept of the strategist role.

i enjoyed luna/mantis/gambit bc they felt rewarding to play aside from just simply insane healing numbers.

I am so tired of tanks and dps in high elo spaces that have no concept of positioning bc cleave healing makes EVERY ROLE BRAINLESS AND BORING to play.

cleave healing is the single most annoyingly unrewarding and unfilling way to play support, and every hero has it in some form. in fact, luna is still the only strat still with no ability to heal three or more teammates with primary fire or a short cooldown (clap is 15 second cooldown).

AND THAT'S FINE EXCEPT THE ENTIRE ROSTER IS THE OPPOSITE.

CND-group heals and damage w/primary

Sue-heals and damages w/primary

gambit-heals everyone his cards connect to (and gets them quicker now), BUT THEY ALSO ADDED A BUBBLE THAT HEALS AND DAMAGES PPL.

mantis-can leaf her entire team with good leaf management

ultron-can heal multiple ppl with one drone, has two, and has peni teamup

adam-heals multiple people with primary heal ability, cooldown depends on how good the player is at hitting shots. (one of the few strats that imo highlight individual skill expression)

whitefox-heals multiple ppl with primary plus damage
rocket-heals groups of people

loki-heals whoever is in splash radius with primary

jeff-heals and damages with primary

jubilee- bubbles heal and damage everyone in them, with hood teamup and proper usage can quickly heal entire team

i want more supports that reward proper util usage. can take off angles. requires actual thinking to play. not just stand behind the team and cleave everyone with primary.

i want heroes like luna to be added, and to be meta, not bc they're OP but because the game rewards aim, positioning, and cooldown management. gambit was pretty solid with this, his damage was and is nice still and you don't need to play him by standing behind everyone. loki is also very skill expressive still. mantis is still skill expressive, because you need to hit your headshots, as is adam.
and arguably- ultron. he might have a bs teamup but he still takes way more game sense than the others in the support roster.

jubilee was also skill expressive, struggled in high elo but i think they buffed the wrong part of her kit this time around. we'll see in season 10.5.

all this to say- i love my role. i love the characters in it. i jsut want to feel rewarded for game sense/aim/cd management and not just for standing where i can cleave my primary fire.

please netease. please let people who want their skill expression to be rewarded to actually have that, and let it be meta. nerf cleave healing. please. i'm so bored of the meta and design philosophy. it's slop, and it isn't fun to play or play against.
