As part of the workshop, we are also launching the Agyeya AI Scholar program. This initiative aims to select and train a dedicated cohort of candidates through hands-on research and mentorship in AI Alignment, Interpretability, and Safety.

The Department of IT & e-Governance, Government of Jharkhand, and IIT Kanpur have signed an MoU to integrate Artificial Intelligence into the State’s legal systems — marking India’s first such initiative in the legal-justice sector.
This forward-looking collaboration aims to strengthen institutional capacities, enhance efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation in governance.
The initiative is led by Mrs. Pooja Singhal (IT Secretary, DoIT Jharkhand), Dr. Ashutosh Modi (CSE, IIT Kanpur), and Ms. Nishi Yadav (Legal) — setting a benchmark for innovation-driven public service.
