So deserved, Revolut is an amazing company and significantly changed my life
Before Revolut I had so many problems with banks
I used to have a Dutch bank called Rabobank who would freeze my card at random times while I was traveling, and no they didn't even have an unfreeze button in the app, I mean they barely had an app
I'd literally have to fly back to Holland and go into the bank office in my tiny hometown to then make an appointment with them to unfreeze it
One time in I think 2014 I was in Bali and they froze it, I flew back and at the bank office they said it was time for me to get a mortgage, when I said I didn't want one they said do you have insurance? They were freezing my card to then use it to make me come to their office to then upsell me shit
Another time in 2017 (I think some of you remember) they froze my card in the US, and with no money I became homeless, luckily X (back then Twitter) helped me out and you all ordered Ubers for me on request and @manuthan gave me a place to sleep at @outsiteco in Venice
You don't hate dinosaur banks enough!
After experiencing all that I got Revolut and I never had any issue like that again
(Well except for moving to Portugal where I was forced to open a Portuguese bank account at MillenniumBCP, which was possibly an even worse experience than Rabobank, my premium package private banking account manager would always be unreachable and only email me to tell me she'd go on holiday and would be even more unreachable 😂)
Revolut has been my main bank app for the last decade and it's been wonderful, I've pumped millions through it and it barely flinched, sometimes they ask me documents to prove where the money comes from, but that process is super smooth and via chat
Revolut is another great example that you can make something that makes everyone's life significantly better and society will reward you by making you rich!
Cybersecurity and Data Security is a joke in India - especially in government and in public sector - hope everyone takes notice and fix the vulnerabilities otherwise prepare for more data leaks, sabotage and chaos ahead ! #ClaudeMythos
Mythos kind of AI will reshape India. There's no escape. Change for the better fast or get wrecked. CBSE or IRCTC or HDFC or Ambani or Adani, none will be spared by such AI in the hands of adversaries unless these Indian orgs and companies invest in the right innovations and adapt. But if they still continue to have lousy cyber security policies and continue to be stingy about IT and innovation, god save India. The adversaries are going to mess with us big time.
Immensely helpful for product/features - something like NotebookLM (using it for explaining complex data science models) - more jobs being taken over by #AI
Today, we're introducing Claude for Explainer Videos.

Why Synthetic data is important for ai-ml-ds models -the challenge isn't building better #DataScience and #MachineLearning models, but getting enough high quality data for your specific use case (and edge cases) - solve for data rather than models

A tip for people in #DataScience / #MachineLearning space - gone are the days where knowing models and statistics were sufficient - be a full stack data scientist [models, ingestion pipelines, deployment, APIs, scaling, MLOPs, Agentic AI, vector databases, system design and bits of software engg]
Jony Ive: Using touchscreens for basic car controls is a 'dumb design' that endangers lives.
"People are dying because of dumb design."
"Multi-touch shouldn't be in a car. It requires by definition that you're looking at a display."
When the man who popularized the touchscreen admits putting an iPad in your dashboard is a deadly mistake, automakers must listen.
I grew up in cars with analog switches, and I miss them. You could operate the radio or the climate control by pure muscle memory while keeping your eyes on the road.
Now, the data backs up that everyday frustration. A University of Washington study proves touchscreens cause lane drifting. Starting in 2026, Euro NCAP will actually strip 5-star safety ratings from cars that refuse to use physical buttons for basic controls.
We sacrificed safe, intuitive hardware for flat screens. It is time to bring the buttons back.

@SynBio1 You have no idea - given that there is so much going on in AI and all the conferences talk about Ai, my previous company's very 'powerful' HR has made it a point to attend these conferences to get into limelight, she knows jack shit about AI, but wants the limelight :)
Prediction : By 2026 end, the entire industry might switch.
We’ll likely stop spending money on frontier models for plumbing jobs.
Instead we’ll use cheap, fast, task-specific models for the boring stuff and save the expensive frontier models only for the hard reasoning parts.
Result?
Agent costs drop dramatically (5-10× cheaper in many cases), agents feel snappier, and small teams can actually compete.
Video generation workflows have come a long way - I remember exploring with automatic1111 UI 2 years back with SD - just spent a weekend with @ComfyUI and what an amazing workflow to build and automate ! The components (LoRA, ControlNet etc) have also evolved a lot !
@huntheharsh There are hobbies, and there are careers. Very few lucky people get to pursue their hobbies as a career. "Follow your passion" is one of the worst advice ever, and definitely not for everyone ! My take - focus on career to make money, and use this money to pursue your hobbies
