A female protester is being pushed and handled in a manner that raises serious questions about police conduct.

Women exercising their democratic right to protest deserve dignity and protection, not intimidation and humiliation.

Not a single case of a male protester sexually assaulting or harassing a female protester. Yet there are multiple cases of delhi male police/ RAF personnel assaulting and harassing women protesters, allegedly using the chaos of the crowd as cover. A police uniform is a symbol of authority, not a licence to violate someone’s dignity.

And then people ask why women don’t automatically feel safe around those who are supposed to protect them.

Delhi is called unsafe because predators exist everywhere. It’s even more disturbing when the accused are the very people entrusted with enforcing the law. This one protest exposed the filthy predators within the very system that is entrusted with protecting ordinary people.
