Arattai is on the surface a simple product but it has a lot of depth inside.

Let me list the engineering frameworks (all homegrown) that power Arattai.

First is what we call our messaging/AV framework. This has been the "real time" workhorse of Zoho for a while and this is what offers you those crisp calls and meetings that connect quickly. It has been perfected for 15 years.

Then we have a distributed framework that allows us to distribute the workload among many servers and databases, and provides fault tolerance, performance monitoring, security and so on. This is the backbone of Zoho and powers a lot of what you see on the surface and also keeps our systems secure. We have been perfecting this for over 20 years now!

We have teams actively working on these frameworks and they provide strong support to the Arattai team.

Our staying power comes from the depth of all the R&D we do. Recently I have moved full time to R&D and you will see many more innovations from us.

Finally being a dedicated engineer is like being a Rishi.

This is what I told our Arattai team yesterday: all of you have worked hard for over 5 years without expecting that the product would ever take off.

There was no need for Garcetti to give this interview when the matter is being addressed at the governmental level and an Indian delegation has visited Washington. The State Dept spokesperson has already made a statement on the subject . Why is Garcetti adding his bit to demand accountability from India? If the US government is not satisfied let them say it. Professional ambassadors leave it to HQs to make displeasing statements while the ambassadors keep up a friendly profile amd avoid controversies. Garcetti is talking down at India as you would do to a culprit, with the message that punishment will follow without proper confession and atonement. He is totally and unacceptably dismissing our genuine concerns about Pannun and others they are protecting and shielding themselves behind the excuse of so- called freedom of speech. Why ToI sought or gave space for this interview shows how pliable our media is. WP or NYT won’t give such space to our Ambassador to the US to state our case on any subject. If ToI had not been so cooperative US embassy would have had to make a suo moto formal statement which would have had a more serious and objectionable connotation. There should be some push back by us as the end game of this “ accountability” emerged from the leaks by the Canadian NSA and the Deputy Foreign Minister to the Washington Post.
