<ゲームの流れ>
・毎ターンにキャラを1〜2人登場させ、それぞれのキャラで、勝利点を獲得する「推理」やそれを無効にする「防衛」などのアクションを行う
・先に一定値以上の勝利点を獲得した方の勝利

<特徴>
・デスノートが書ける

なんと言ってもこれに尽きる
ゲーム内でデスノートが書けるのである

「デスノート」という特殊アクションが存在し、これを使ったときにはゲームに付属する小型のデスノートを使って(相手に見られないように)キャラ1体を指定する
次の自ターン開始時にデスノートを公開し、指定したキャラが相手の場に“名前が見える状態(表)”で存在した場合、即時そのキャラを破棄させることができる

これを防ぐためには、キャラの“名前を隠す(裏面にする)”必要があるのだが
・裏面にすることのできるキャラは1ターン1体まで
・裏面になっているキャラはアクションが使えない
というルールが存在するため、「勝つためにはキャラを表にしてアクションを行わなければならない」、「ただし、相手のデスノートに書かれたキャラは裏面にしないと○されてしまう」というジレンマが発生する

“相手がデスノートに書いたキャラは誰なのか”を推理し、その裏をかくことが重要となるこのゲームシステムによって、本ゲームは同じデッキで同じ相手と何度対戦しても戦略と展開が変わる
カードゲーマー的に言えば、同じデッキでも“メタが回る”のである

また、他にも原作を彷彿とさせる再現要素が存在しており(リプライに記載)、作品のTCG化として最高峰の出来

原作絵が採用されていることからコレクション人気も高く、入手困難なTCGではあるのだが、一度入手すればスターターだけでも何度も遊べるので是非手に入れてプレイしてみて欲しい
