@kaisermaiku@BaseballWRLD_ Sasaki had always been able to throw. They tone his velo down because he had shoulder and control issues. Being able to throw 102 mph again is good and means his shoulder is starting to feel good again.
@Glenn67376963@BaseballWRLD_ Sasaki had always been able to throw 100-102 mph. It's what made him such a coveted player coming from Japan. Shoulder soreness was an issue even before he came to the Dodgers which made him tone down on his velo. Him throwing 102 again means his shoulder is no longer painful.
@DodgersNation Pages should be higher and kike wasnt looking at him. Getting hit by your team mate would not give you an expression like that . Please let them know, to correct this and hand out one that is more worthy and not something that makes one cringe.
@KapowRobot@DanClarkSports Even Killebrew hit .256. And, struck out around 16% of the time in his time with the twins. Kyle at like 28% is definitely a head turner. Considering we both agree it would be difficult for Kyle to make it in the HOF, do you think he has to hit 550+ homers?
@KapowRobot@DanClarkSports Great point. If Kyle does get a nod, one can definitely argue Adam Dunne gets a nod as well. The Ks definitely is bad for Kyle. And, Jim is borderline 3 true outcome. Analysts widely consider him so. Even so, for a HOF, his BA is quite low for a HOF. We will have to wait though.
@DanClarkSports He is on that path. He does need to break a threshold like a couple of 60+ seasons. However, his career BA is .233. The average BA of hall of famers is .300- .310. But, BA isn't as important these days in accessing the value of a player. HOF average OPS is .837. Kyle's .854.
@treyissharpp@MLB No one is arguing that. But, Murakami can write his own legend. When he's hot, he's hot. And, goes into crazy streaks of homers after homers. Potentially, he will hit 60+ homers in one of these seasons. Before his hamstring injury, he was actually on that pace.
@el_0d0@ChiSoxFanMike Its his work ethic. He's in the stadium 4 to 6 hours before the game, there in the dugout even when he is in the IL, he studies when he is not working out. He immediately established himself a a home run threat. This allowed others to get better at bats. Hence, the confidence.
@dvk415@ChiSoxFanMike If you look into the games 1 month ago, Murakami's presence was the big reason for confidence. 2 batters up or 2 batters down, pitchers had to work around how the approached those hitters. This allowed Vargas, Montgomery, Antonnaci to have the confidence they didnt have 1yr ago.
@dvk415@ChiSoxFanMike Murakami has not just changed the tune for the white sox, he changed his team mates mentality. While many in the IL are not even in the dugout, he is there cheering and learning. His work ethic as well. They see he is the 6 hours before the game and learning.
