@llylsr @thelangbot Hi Gia!
ใ is often used as a place holder to form vowels so
์ is a ์ค is o, ์ด is i and so on.. but if its placed at the end of a syllable it's read as ng so for example, ์ is ang ์น is ong and ์ is ing. ^^ I hope this helps!!
@zyaevv Anytime! Zya!๐ค
But note:
"Tutulongan mo ako." is in the VSO structure. (You will help me)
The words change when the structure changes. In the SVO it would be:
"Ikaw ay tutulong
(You) (particle) (will help)
sa akin."
(to me)
@zyaevv when you say "mo" the person you're talking to is the doer of the action.
when you say "ka" the person you're talking to is the receiver of the action. ๐ค.
@zyaevv Hi Zya! Long time no chat!
Maybe I can translate these sentences word for word to help. ๐ค
"tulong(an*) mo ako"
(help) (you) (me)
= (you) help me.
"susuportahan ka namin"
(will support) (you) (we)
= we will support you.
@maruo80@ke0nlangtwt I agree! I also mistook an Indonesian movie for a Filipino one after watching the trailer! Thanks for the input omar! ๐ค๐๐
@ribcagestraw It's fine, Roman! Thanks for the offer anyway! I would just like to know language does it sound similar to when foreigners listen to it. :)
Btw what's your nationality? ๐ค
Quick question for everyone who's achieved a bit of fluency in their TLs. ๐
At what stage or around how many years have you been studying your TL do the words start "meaning" something without having to translate them? ๐ค๐ #langtwt
Confession:
Seeing tweets in a different language used to make me feel anxious. The thought of not being able to understand the words threatened me.
But ever since I've acted on my desire to learn a language, the anxiety was gradually replaced with thrill & excitement. ๐
