A moment of shame!

What is the message we want to give? That women have no space in the political process?

If the Supreme Court of Pakistan will not step in now to safeguard the rights of women, then when will it?

Khadijah Shah is not even a PTI member. She voluntarily surrendered. She obtained bail in four cases, each one popping up after a bail was obtained in the previous one. A woman DC then kept her detained through a 3MPO order. And now we have to see women being lugged around a tour-de-Pakistan as part of a political engineering process.

What the women of Kot Lakhpat jail have gone through should be a complete moment of shame for the Punjab administration. If the idea was to prove they were in the wrong, please know that what has now been proven is that it is the govt that has no moral values.

The judicial system must provide justice to all these women immediately. They are now symbols of courage for all of us.
