This 2010 exposé on Punjab & Haryana High Court is damning proof of deep-rooted nepotism and shameless family favoritism.

Sons, nephews, wives, brothers, sisters & in-laws — all practicing as advocates in the SAME court where their relative sits as a Judge.

A list of 16 such “Uncle Judges” was officially forwarded to the Union Law Ministry.

Just look at this table. Clear, blatant conflict of interest. How the can justice be delivered fairly when family members argue cases before their own “Uncle”?

The Law Commission and Bar Council flagged this years ago. Nothing changed.

This uncle culture has destroyed public faith in the judiciary. Merit is dead. Nepotism rules.

We need ruthless reforms NOW:
- Ban close relatives from practicing in the same court
- Mandatory public declaration of family links
- Strict penalties for violations

Enough is enough. The temple of justice has become a family business.

You know what’s wrong with this picture?

Yes, the husband — because he had the audacity to approach the courts seeking justice.

The real culprits? The advocates who told him, “File divorce on this ground, you’ll get relief.”

They created false hope, dragged him through Family Court → High Court → Supreme Court… and kept billing him at every stage.
This isn’t justice.

This is legal extortion dressed up as “due process.”

How many families are being looted by lawyers who know these cases have zero merit but still milk desperate clients for years?

This is what “arranged marriage” has been reduced to — a one-sided negotiation where the man is expected to qualify like a candidate, not connect like a human.

A man shares his experience after receiving a call from a prospective bride. What followed was not a conversation — it was a checklist. A 3BHK flat in Malad. A full-time maid. No children for 3–4 years because “travel comes first.” Questions on whether the house is in his name or his father’s. And finally — a grand pre-wedding, fully arranged by the man, whether he prefers it or not.

Consent? Mutuality? Compatibility? None of it mattered. Only demands.

When men speak about unrealistic expectations in modern arranged marriages, they are mocked. But this is the ground reality — escalating entitlement with zero accountability. Marriage is no longer a partnership; it’s becoming a contract loaded entirely against one side.

And the system still refuses to acknowledge why more and more men are walking away.
