@NDLiteracy A6: our fifth grade teachers are doing genius hour and I think thats a great example of them having control of their learning. I think there's always a place for students becoming more actively engaged in their learning and participation our classrooms.
@NDLiteracy A5: Not being afraid to try new things and asking how to do something a new way when I'm stuck and not getting the results I want . I also love following professionals in my field on social media; seeing their ideas always tends to spark my curiosity.
@NDLiteracy A4: I don't have a classroom, but I love how a few teachers in my school make little exciting nooks for their writers. They usually switch it out with the themes they're learning about. Right now first grade has owl caves and the students get a kick out of going in there.
@NDLiteracy I like when it's about information you can take back to your classroom/office and use immediately. If not, It often gets filed and forgotten.
@NDLiteracy A2: I love learning some of the great things at the Reading Carousels from educators. I was so amazed hearing about the Girl Power Project going on at Sunny Side. As a Speech Pathologist, I would love to have a PLC going on with other SLP in the district.
@NDLiteracy A1: Mrs Spain was my favorite teacher. She taught me when I was a first grader at Bel Air. I remember her being so kind and caring. I also loved her claw bath tub that we got to lounge in while we read.
@NDLiteracy A5: Daily/weekly. It's hard to plan too far ahead in SPED. I typically base my next day's session on the data from the current day and go from there. Sometimes, I end of re-vamping what I planned mid-session depending on their performance. #ncrcchat
