Every 30th vehicle is uninsured.

The resources are being negligently deployed

This is one of most depressing threads in some time. £300 fine, 6 points on licence & £600 to get escooter back. As many comments attest, killing someone with a car will routinely be treated less severely. Roads justice & policing priorities are utterly broken. Disgusting.

@theJeremyVine This is absolute madness. The government seems hell bent on punishing people for owning a scooter while allowing rental companies to run expensive trials. And surely they have enough data from the trials already to come up with sensible legislation by now?!
