Starmer has just spoken after winning Holborn and St Pancras.
"Tonight people here and around the country have spoken, and they're ready for change... The change begins right here."
Labour also hold Hartlepool, which along with Barnsleys North and South will calm some supporters who were worried about the exit poll and projections Reform UK would win theose seats. But Lee Anderson does get a first win for Reform of the night in Ashfield
a supposedly 99% likely win for Reform was instead held by Labour by 8,000 votes. good context for the Exit poll and the 13 seats it has predicted Reform will win
John Curtice saying that the first two seats fit with the broad picture of the exit poll, although the Reform share is actually slightly less than it had forecast in those seats
@ChrisGiles_ thank you, this stands to be helpful but it doesn't seem to be able to compute seats which eg the SNP have won (maybe it's been calculated purely on difference between Conservative and Labour votes?) then that throws out the rankings
