I’ve used a simple test for years to expose the absurdity of pure self-identification on sex.

What if President Trump announced today that he identified as a woman and therefore demanded to be recorded in the history books as America’s first female president?

The progressive left — the same voices that have insisted for a decade that identification alone is enough — would erupt in ridicule and rejection.

That reaction would be the tell.

Hardcore gender activists treat sex as fluid and ever-changing: declare yourself a woman one day, a man the next. Biology and science are dismissed as irrelevant. The predictable result is men in women’s prisons, rape counseling centers, domestic-violence shelters, and female-only sports.

Self-identification is how you get there. Ive reported about this from Scotland to California.

Now two former NBA players are applying the WNBA’s own stated logic and declaring themselves women under the league’s rules. Gender progressives rush to insist the players “aren’t serious.”

Exactly. Neither is gender self-identification serious.

Once activists reject even one high-profile declaration, they concede the entire framework is selective and political. You either accept every claim without exception, or you admit that evidence, consistency, and material reality still matter.

The moment they pick and choose whose “identity” counts, the charade collapses.

It has always been a farce. It is long past time to say so plainly.

“It’s a man’s world”, and sometimes the criminal justice system manages to prove the point with brutal clarity.

On LBC, Shelagh Fogarty asks the question that should stop anyone in their tracks: how can a man already facing serious sexual allegations be released on bail and then go on to commit rape and murder, while women guilty of relatively minor, non-violent offences can end up behind bars?

Of course there must be a presumption of innocence, but justice also has a duty to assess risk. Where credible allegations of serious sexual violence already exist, public safety cannot simply be shrugged aside until another woman becomes the evidence.

That isn’t an argument for excusing crime. It is an argument for proportion, priorities and common sense.

Prison should protect the public from dangerous offenders. Yet we have built a system capable of throwing the full weight of the state at women caught at the bottom of society, often dealing with poverty, debt, coercion and family responsibilities, while somehow failing to contain men already accused of serious sexual violence.

That is where this discussion becomes uncomfortable.

A woman stealing because she cannot feed herself, or sinking beneath debts and fines she cannot pay, is not a danger to the public. She becomes an example.

The justice system turns her into the warning poster nailed to the wall: pay what is demanded, comply with the system, or feel the weight of the state.

Because once enough people discover that poverty can make payment impossible, the whole machinery of fines, fees and compulsory subscriptions begins to look rather less like justice and rather more like enforcement.

Of course, we've all had hard times and men are caught in the same machinery of debt, poverty and low-level offending. And there lies the real question about crime and punishment. Why are we prepared to use prison against people who present little danger to anybody, while repeatedly discovering that people who may present a very serious danger are outside the prison gate?

A justice system should be judged first by how well it protects the public, not by how efficiently it punishes the poor.

Well there was not a single trans black woman when we launched the UK Gay Liberation Front. It was mostly gay men with a few lesbians. Same in the US. Ask @FredSargeant.

The early transsexual rights organizations were explicitly homophobic. They saw us as sexual deviants and didn’t want to be associated with us. Later on, they saw they could do better by joining us. It was a tragic mistake for LGB groups to embrace “gender identity” - which is a sexist, anti-gay concept.
