@goatcollect How about not playing anything and let the moment and the crowd stand on its own? The cacophony of noise that stadium DJs constantly blast, even into play restarts is maddening.
@BGMediaOnSI Gotta admit, not sure how I feel about this. I understood the need to get a difference maker and Verse + picks was steep but understandable. Now redoing his contract and potentially costing them BY or another signee? A lot of potential depth and flexibility lost for 1 guy.
@SharpFootball Based on their activity expect Rams to package Simpson and a few additional first rounders to the Bengals for Burrow in 2028. The train just keeps on rolling.
@BGMediaOnSI Not sure I get this pick. Makes sense for 2027 where Ferguson and Klare step in. But it’s a second pick where you wonder if it has any real impact this coming season
@jon096175738725@JKBOGEN Will see. Even if there is a drop one assumes the defense will get better to compensate. Rams scored 24, 37, 28, 23, 26 and 27 in their losses last season. There was no shortage of offense.
@QBsMVP Eagles likely continue to be looking to offload AJ Brown with Lemon now in. Rumors around the Rams earlier. Pula,, Adams and Brown? Not sure the cap impacts but if you’re all in for this year…….
@BGMediaOnSI Whether I personally think it was smart, the #1 rule in the NFL draft is when you can get the QB of the future you want, you take him no matter what position you are drafting or what anyone else thinks.
@1standtuna@danorlovsky7 One downside is Rams may lose 1-2 years of having a low cost rookie contract QB. If he starts year 3 and kills it you’re looking at a potential big contract extension right away. Good problem to have, but you’re losing that value as he sits.
@BGMediaOnSI I keep hearing about him being a little older. Realistically QBs now play into their late 30s. Even if he sits for two years and then starts age 26-27 that’s a decade of Rams hopefully not worrying about QB position. Worth the swing.
@BGMediaOnSI Pack did something similar with Love at the end of Roger’s career. Upside is they got continuity of success at the position to stay competitive. Bad news is they didn’t get to the SB that year or again with Rogers. Will see how it plays out for the Rams.
@JKBOGEN I like this move. Not a big cost and need to keep some locker room/culture/veteran leadership continuity. Rams can be merciless with players when they are ready to move on, but you need guys to bridge from one team iteration to the next.
@JKBOGEN I agree. Would rather sign a Cameron Jordan type who is still productive, wants to ring chase and can mentor Verse so he continues to grow. Not sure Crosby brings that much more than Young to justify the draft capital expense.
@JKBOGEN Bradley Chubb also release by Dolphins. Could be a good veteran presence with Verse on the outside. Still very productive player and good citizen who may be looking to join a ring chase.
