I am a biologist at my core, passionate about discovery and positive impact. I am fortunate enough to be in a job where I can have both. All opinions are my own
@StokesNeuro Mark and wider family. As a fellow scientist I am moved by the power in your words. It seems that you have connected with something powerful that resonates inside all of us. Death is Inevitable to us all. I wish you peace and I wish your family peace to as they mourn your loss.
@DrAjayanKV@Kylelauersen@algenuity It's a research tool for optimising and modelling growth. The Algem was never designed to be a primary production system. Hope that clarifies. But cost effective as a research tool for algae biotechnology - pretty much none comes close in my opinion.
Big day ahead for us at Algenuity as we kickoff our fundraise with a first pitch. We're now a scale-up story delivering our Chlorella to multiple verticals. We've always been about impact. Now it's happening. Vegan quiche below! #chlorella#microalgae#plantbased#futurefoods
Excited to be invited to this session this morning in London. First time to be taking a train into London in a morning in several years! @algenuity#futurefoods#sustainability#supplychain
New date for food industry Oscars and Business Leaders Forum https://t.co/YuXxesa7ci
When was the last time you experienced something for the first time? Delegates at #festivalofalgae will be amongst the first in the world to try these delicious, no compromise #vegan bakes, enabled by our white Chlorella! ๐๐
See you at the @Algae_UK Festival this week! We're bringing delicious #vegan bakes, which all use our versatile white Chlorella to replace the function of eggs and milk in the recipe!
@Kylelauersen@algenuity@KaustResearch Great to see them all working well. Yes, amazing how a feedback loop can work in that way! We try to stick to a combination of simple principles within our Algems and then just let our customers get on with their research. Making algae work :).
We are excited to announce our Joint Venture with Mara Renewables Corporation to form Algenuity Ingredients, bringing you next generation plant-based protein ingredients that are good for you and the planet.

@Kylelauersen@algenuity @HorsingJig @KAUST_News @kaust_corelabs @s_overmans Fun fact: two alternate names for the Algem were the WhatIf and the TARDIS. WhatIf we tried this light profile or changing the temp slowly over time etc. The TARDIS speaks for itself; Algems can 'send' your algae effectively anywhere in the world at any modelled time. #algae
Help us secure the future of algal stocks/biobanking etc @CCAP_Oban assessing needs of the algal community (UK, EU, International) over next 10 years (as evidence for our next round of Govt funding), great if you could complete this short anonymous survey: https://t.co/AUA9xjnliS
This is a great story. Amazing that algal light sensing proteins can be harnessed in this manner via a gene therapy route. Super cool.

Never get bored of this.....wild male emperor moth (Saturnia pavonia) assembled to a female in my garden. The G-protein coupled receptors in the male antennae are sensitive enough to detect one molecule of pheromone in a m3 of air. #Springwatch#Saturniidae#biologyiscool
@Fedor_Kuzminov@algenuity I take your point. I think when it works for the right approach FACS and microwell plates are great. We combine them all at the moment with regard to our Chlorella platform. For sure FACS allows screening for some changes that wouldn't be possible to identify on plates alone.
One of the privileges of being CEO of a fast-paced algae biotechnology company is that I get to do things like come in on a weekend and pour plates ready for a big screen next week. Who'd have imagined this could be relaxing and fun to do! #teamwork#microalgae@algenuity
@Fedor_Kuzminov@algenuity I think it depends on the alga. Chlamy do better than many others. From my perspective if plating efficiency in microplates is low & desirable strains are few then potential for missing the one you want is high. On the other hand, I've personally experienced cross contamination.
