🚨 We are hearing more and more reports of clinical referrals being rejected if there is mention of #LongCovid, despite people having significant symptoms that need specialist investigation.
Who else has experienced this?

@long_covid I’ve heard directly from some clinicians that they are having to re-write referral letters so that they include all relevant symptoms but omit reference to #LongCovid in order to get the referral accepted. Awful patient discrimination.
@long_covid I asked for referral to Chronic Fatigue Clinic, the doctor referred me, they replied that all they'd do with me is what the Long COVID clinic is already doing so they wouldn't see me. I've been discharged from the LC clinic so the doctor is referring me to the rheumatology clinic
If you're UK based, you may be interested in signing this petition for urgent funding for research into Long Covid.
You know the drill, it takes 10 seconds and a check of your email.

Many can't avoid infection with SARS2 for many reasons, like being in care homes, living with less cautious people, or having kids in schools. This isn't matter of "personal responsibility". It's a failure of public health. People are being infected with SARS2 against their will

Wanting to protect the small amount of green space left in Middlesbrough. Makes the collective us, nimbies apparently. The emoji Mayor found this hilarious it seems. (🤣).
Elections next month.

This was just before the pandemic. I got COVID in March last year, and ended up with #LongCovid. Now working on getting fitter and stronger gradually. So sad reading everyone's stories. #LongCovidAwarenessDay
Did you know, disabled women are more likely to be sexually harassed at work?
On #InternationalWomensDay we rightly celebrate achievements and progress. But it’s important to recognise how multiple marginalisation creates more challenges for some women.
