Are schools allowed to advertise spaces?
eg. A banner outside on the school gates saying “We have places available in Year 5 - call the school office today for more info”
In light of new announcements from education departments around ofsted grades etc..
What questions are likely to be asked at HT interview regarding this?
@HappyConfidentC@Headteacherchat Exclusion is not the answer but you have to sympathise with schools and headteachers who have very little options with these children. If they can’t sit still or stay quiet the school environment isn’t for them. And then there’s no funding for further support for these children.
Question: has anyone ever failed an NPQ? Not because they dropped out or missed an assignment. Actually tried to complete it, did the tasks etc and failed? I get my results soon and I’m worried I could be the first ever 😂😂
I’ve always thought you have staff who don’t mind break duty and almost quite enjoy it and then you have staff who hate break duty and need that break from the kids. Which camp are you in?

There’s a headteacher job available at a local school. I know the school and would like to consider it as somewhere I’d work. But I’m in a massive quandary. I love the school I’m in, the staff and the kids. I don’t want to regret leaving but I do want to progress. Advice???
